Agnes Pauline Pickern

Mrs. Agnes Pauline Pickern, age 88, passed away, Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Century, FL. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bratt, Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bratt, where she served thirteen years as church secretary and this was her most beloved career.

Mrs. Pickern worked at Vanity Fair for many years. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren. She loved when she was able to cook for her family and anyone else that came along. Her women’s Sunday school class was something that she cared greatly for and she also enjoyed the time when she could teach the Sunday school group.

She is preceded in death by her father, O’Bannan McCall, mother, Cynthia Myrl Comalander, husband, Horace Pickern, two sister, Helen Hughes, Gail Smith, and one brother, Robert McCall.

She is survived by her three sons, Rev. Gene (Julie) Pickern, of Fort Worth, TX; Rick (Lonna) Pickern, of Robertsdale, AL; David (Debbie) Pickern, of Robertsdale, AL; one daughter, Jackie (Tommy) Steadham, of Robertsdale, AL; one brother, John (Maxine) McCall, of Bratt, FL; three sisters, Nancy Sessions, of Atmore, AL; Annie Bryan, of Atmore, AL; Debbie Cribbs, of Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. with Pastor, Mike Lynn and Bro. Greg Sellers officiating.

Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.

Pallbearers will be Mark Pickern, Brian Pickern, Josh Pickern, Matt Pickern, Adam Manning, and Jonathan Lynn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Gideons, Luke Pickern, John Manning, Thomas Manning, Eli Lynn, Henry Lynn, Beneah Gideons, and Christian Gideons.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, Atmore, Alabama is in charge of all arrangements.
