Interesting Facts

Nokomis is a very sparsely populated area like many others.

Parts of Nokomis are located in Florida, but the area spills over into

portions of Escambia County , Alabama. Some of the first families

of the area were Pace, Green, Register, Hollingsworth, Barlow,

Seales, Flowers, Johnson, Lee, Stewart, Tullis, Roberson,

Hubbard, and Kennedy.There were several groups of each of the

above names.
