*Enon is a very rural, isolated, community that is known for being extremely rural and sparsely populated.
*One of its residents suddenly went missing in July of 1985. Her name is Lou Starkie. No trace of her body has ever been found, and she is presumed dead, but suprisingly the case has recently been reopened. If you have any information on the disappearance or whereabouts of Lou Starkie, please call Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP. You do not have to give your name in volunteering information.
*The Enon Baptist Cemetery did not own one foot of land until Nov. 2, 1939. That is when the Escambia County School Board discontinued the old school in Enon and deeded all of its land, approximately 4 1/2 acres to the deacons of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
