T.R. Miller Tops Northview

T.R. Miller defeated the Northview Chiefs  6-3 Monday night in Brewton.

The game was tried at three in the bottom of the fifth when T.R. Miller scored on a sacrifice fly.

Cameron Patrick opened on the mound for the Chiefs. he went three and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out one. Ethan Collier threw two and one-third innings in relief, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out three.

Luke Bridges went 1-3 for the only hit of the night for Northview.

Northview Chiefs Beat The Laurel Hill Hoboes 13-1

The Northview Chief completed a two-game district sweep over the Laurel Hill Hoboes 13-1 Friday night in Bratt. Thursday night, the Chiefs beat Laurel Hill 18-2.

Jamarkus Jefferson earned the win for the Chiefs, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four in three innings. Cameron Patrick pitched two innings in relief, giving up no hits, not runs and striking out five.

Josh Landis led the Chiefs, going 3-4 with three runs and four stolen bases. Cody Thomas was 2-3 with two runs and three RBIs; and Wyatt Scruggs went 2-2 with a run and two RBIs. Kaden Odom, Luke Bridges and Ethan Collier added one run each.

Drew Reaves had four RBIs on three hits and Jadon Fryman homered in the third as the Tate Aggies beat Pace 10-6 Thursday night,

Josiah Glodfelter started on the mound for Aggies, going four and a third innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out seven.

Reaves, Dylan Godwin and Fryman had multiple hits for the Aggies. Dalton Bowen, Franki Randall and Bray Touchstone had one hit each.

Tate 7, Pace 0 (JV)

Three Tate High School junior varsity pitchers earned a shutout win over Pace Thursday, 7-0.

Rilee Lowery earned the win for Tate, going four and two-thirds innings, allowing no runs on three hits and striking out three. Ethan McAnally and Colton Swiers closed out the game in relief.

Javin Floyd and Paul Whitson each had runs, and Allan Beasley and Jaxson Stafford both added a run.

Tate 4, Pace 0 (Freshmen)

Neal Croom did not allow a single run as the Tate Aggie Freshmen beat Pace 4-0 Thursday.

Croom went for six innings, allowing two hits, no runs and striking out eight.

Ketch King was 2-3 at the plate with one run. Cole McNair, Conner Hassell, Trey Rebber, Hayden St. Amant, and Damian Colen all had one hit for the Aggies..

Northview 18, Laurel Hill 2

The Northview Chiefs easily defeated the Laurel Hill Hobos Thursday night 18-2 in just four innings.

Kaden Odom took the win for the Chiefs, giving up two runs on one hit in three innings while striking out four. Josh Landis tossed one inning in relief, allowing one hit and no runs.

Jamarkus Jefferson homered for Northview in a seven-run fourth inning. He was 1-2 at the plate, with two runs and four RBIs. Wyatt Scruggs, Landis and Rustin Pope also had a couple of hits for Northview. Odom, Bryce Korinchak and Cody Thomas each had a hit.

Northview 19, Laurel Hill 1 (JV)

The junior varsity Northview Chiefs had a blowout win over Laurel Hill Thursday, 19-1 in three innings.

Northview had eight runs in the first inning and nine in the second.

Cameron Patrick pitched the win for Northview, allowing no hits and one run in two innings while striking out three. Rylan Minor threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen with no hits, no runs and striking out three to close the win.

Robbie Bodiford was 4-4 with three RBIs to lead Northview. Cameron Patrick and Aron Chaveria had two hits each, and Cody Pugh had one.

Tate Splits Games With Pine Forest

The Pine Forest Eagles topped the Tate Aggies Tuesday night 3-1.

Tanner Rouchon allowed two hits and one run in two innings for the Aggies.  Tucker Griffin pitched one inning, allowing one hit and sitting down one.. Ethan McAnally allowed two runs on one hit striking out one; and Jackson Penton pitched two innings, allowing two hits and striking out one.

Drew Reaves was 2-4 for Tate. Jadon Fryman was 1-3 with a run; Penton went 1-1 with a RBI.

Tate 4, Pine Forest 1 (JV)

The Tate High School junior varsity defeated Pine Forest 4-1 Tuesday.

Caleb Murph started on the mound for Tate, going three innings while allowing no hits, no runs and striking out four. Saxon Hill pitched two and a third innings allowing one hit, one run and striking out five.

Hill led Tate at bat, going 3-4 with two RBIs. Javin Floyd, Colton Swiers, Allan Beasley, Michael Sardar and Jamil Sarder each added a hit.

Tate Aggies Girls Continue Winning Streak With Defeat Of Washington

The Tate High School Aggies girls tennis team continued their winning streak Tuesday with a 4-3 win over Washington.

Ana Sanchez Morales and Kingsley Cline maintain their momentum at the #1 doubles with a 9-7 victory and the #2 doubles of Gwen Ward and Kayley Foshee securing the overall with their 8-5 win.

Next up, the Aggies will be at Milton on Thursday.

Northview Baseball Beats W.S. Neal; Pensacola Catholic Tops Northview Softball

Pensacola Catholic 8, Northview 2

The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders defeated the Northview Chiefs 8-2 in softball action Monday night.

Emma Gilmore game up eight runs on three hits, striking out five, in four and a third innings. Aubrey Stuckey tossed one and two thirds innings in relief, giving up no hits and striking out one.

Kaitlin Gafford, Payton Gilchrist and Nevaeh Brown had hits for the Chiefs.

Tate’s Strike Out Cancer Softball Game Raises Over $22,000

March 29, 2021

The annual Tate and West Florida Strike Out Cancer softball game raised over $22,000 this year.

The proceeds from donations and auctions will go to the American Cancer Society to benefit cancer research and to help those currently battling cancer.

The Tate Lady Aggies won the game 8-1 over WFHS. Abbie Burks pitched a complete game win for the Lady Aggies, allowing one run on two hits and striking out four. Hannah Halfacre and Madison Holland led Tate at the plate with two hits each.

Last year’s Strike Out Cancer game was canceled at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tate Aggies Beat Fort Walton Beach 7-4 Saturday Night At Blue Wahoos Stadium (With Gallery)

The Tate Aggies left Blue Wahoos Stadium with a 7-4 win over Fort Walton Beach Saturday night.

Tucker Griffin pitched the win for the Aggies, allowing no hit, no runs and striking out one. Tanner Rouchon, Colton Swiers and Jackson Penton took to the mound in relief, and Jadon Frymon earned the save with the last three outs for Tate.

Zak Licastro led the Aggies at the plate, going 3-3 with a couple of RBIs. Dylan Godwin, Drew Reaves and Fryman had a couple of hits each for Tate, as Penton recorded one.

Tate Aggies Shut Out Choctaw In Blue Wahoos Stadium (With Photo Gallery); Tate Softball Strikes Out Cancer With Win Over WFHS

Tate 12, Choctaw 0

The Tate Aggies shut out Choctaw 12-0 Friday afternoon at Blue Wahoos Stadium.

Josiah Glodfelter earned the win for Tate Tate Aggies, with no runs on two hits while striking out 10 over in five innings. Ethan McAnally and Jadon Fryman closed out the game in relief. Fryan went one inning, giving up no runs and striking out two. McAnally allowed one hit and no runs while striking out one.

At the plate, Frankie Randall led the Aggies going 3-3 with two runs and one RBI. Fryman, Zak Licastro and Dalton Bowen had two hits each for Tate. Dylan Godwin and Bray Touchstone added one hit each.

The Tate Aggies will be back in action at Blue Wahoos Stadium at 7 p.m. Saturday against Fort Walton Beach. Cox Sports Television will air the game live on channel 319/1319.

The Tate Lady Aggies beat the West Florida Lady Jaguars 8-1 Friday night in the annual Strike Out Cancer game to benefit the American Cancer Society.
