Mrs. Gayle Alston Hanks, 92, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Atmore, Alabama.
Mrs. Hanks was a native and former resident of Mt. Vernon, AL and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 85 years. She was a member of the Healing Waters Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Daisye Alston; husband, Edward Hanks, Jr. and brother, Ted Alston, Jr.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Loretta Hanks of Ellijay, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Eugenia and Stan Pope of Atmore, AL; five grandchildren, Stephanie Herndon Still, Matthew Dodge, Karen Worden, Keith Maddox and Keith Pope; eight great-grandchildren, Luke Edward Still, Olivia Hope Dodge, Shyla Pope, Aliah Pope, Samantha Pope, Jake Worden, Jayme Worden and Areia Worden.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Daniels officiating.
Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark McLain, Joe Key, Jimmy Key, Jimmy Cowart, Eric Kimbro and John Johnson.

Sallie Marie Dunsford, 71 of Century, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, at her residence. She was a homemaker born in Pensacola, FL on September 15, 1945, to the late Homer and Lorraine Chavers Lawson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew T. (A.T.) Dunsford; daughter, Susan Angela Nall; and sister, Glenda Faye Byrd.
Survivors include three sons, Butch (Karen) Nall, Buster (Melinda) Nall and Steven Nall, all of Century, FL; one daughter, Sheryl (Ken) White of Jay, FL; two brothers, Gene (Patricia) Lawson of Gulf Port, MS and Ray (Gloria Jean) Lawson of Century, FL; one sister, Patsy (Joe) Cobb of Tuscaloosa, AL; and four grandchildren, Jacob Lowery, Cody Lowery, Shea Nall, and Lea Nall.
Graveside Services were held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in Serenity Gardens with Bro. Mitch Herring and Bro. Chris Hawkins officiating.

Bessie Marie Pringle Roche, 83, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
She was born December 28, 1933 to the late Thomas and Addie Faircloth Pringle. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She loved her dogs, Dash and Scooby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard Joseph Roche; son, Bryan Lee Roche and her brothers, Bobby, Frances and Howard Pringle. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Rose Ellen Pace, Janet Duncan (Mike) and Cindy Kimberl (Steve); grandchildren, Barry and Brad Riles; Kelly Diaz (Katherine), Heather Reynolds and Holly Beczkowski, Rene Jones, Maureen Walker (Justin) and Bridget Allen, Bryan Joseph Nelson, Stephanie Nelson, Summer Nelson and Melissa Nelson; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 9:30 a.m with Pastor Orville Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Elizabeth Haber, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of June 19, 2017. She loved to play in the yard with her kids, having a flower garden, being the song leader in her church, working as a LPN at Sacred Heart Hospital for 18 years on PEDS 2, and being a band mom. Along with her children she supported various charities. She loved to sew and made many cheerleader outfits and other special occasion dresses. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Haber; parents Joseph and Myrtle Huelsbeck and various brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her sons Eddie Haber, David (Sandra) Haber, Donald (Teresa) Haber and Michael Haber. Her daughters Cindy (Sharon) Haber, Carol (Kent) Christiansen and Laura (Billy) Braun; ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7pm on Saturday June 24, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday June 25, 2017 at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Huelsbeck cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that you consider making donations to either St Jude’s Hospital for Children or the Escambia Council on Aging.

Essie Lee Coleman, 91 of Bratt, FL. passed away Tuesday June 20, 2017 in Century, FL. She was co-owner at the Singer Sewing Company, born in Bratt, FL, on June 12, 1926, to the late William Robert and Addie Bell Cooper Wiggins. She was a member of the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Henry Floyd Coleman. brothers: Leon Wiggins, Buddy Wiggins, Henry Wiggins and Rufus Wiggins. Two siisters: Myra Brantley and Dorothy Norris.
Survivors are daughters Linda Coleman Lee of Lake City, FL; Karen Coleman (Ben) Leonardi of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; three sisters Thelma Holley of Bratt, FL. Jessie Wiggins of Pensacola, FL. Glennie Robbins of Bratt, FL. Five Grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Lee, Chris (Alex) Tyson, Jason Lee, Leda (Jason) Broxson, Aaron (Nina) Moring, and Ten Great grandchildren, Jaxson Lee, Connor Tyson, Ryan Tyson, Megan Tyson, Andrew Lee, J.D. Lee, Cori Broxson, Matthew Lee, Claire Broxson and Jace Lee, Many Nieces and Nephews. Special friends, Marlin and Bertha Metzler and Ronald and Harvette Boone.
Services will be Friday June 23, 201, at 2:30 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Greg Robbins, Brian Robbins, Marvin Wiggins, Darrell Holley, John McCall and Brett Ward.

Levice Marie Haynie, 78 of Atmore passed away Wednesday June 14, 2017, in Pensacola. She was a technical editor with Civil Service (NAS) Pensacola, born on August 15, 1938, to the late EK and Bertha Lambert Bowman in Atmore
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Angus Bowman.
Survivors are husband, Luke Haynie of Atmore; daughters Tya (David) Hoftling of SC, and Mia Evatt of Saraland; gandchildren: Letah (Nathan) Bishop and Dorian Stoutamire and brother E.K. “Bo” Bowman,Jr of Homosassa, FL.
Services will be Friday June 23, 2017, 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends, Thrusday evening June 22, 2017 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Helen Hadley, 77, of Cantonment, passed away on June 22, 2017. She was born in 1940 to Eugene and Mary Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.D. Hadley and one grandchild. She is survived by her sons Bruce (Tina) Chavers and Bobby Chavers ; daughters Marcella Wayne and Mary Ann (Don) Larson; step-son Mallory “Buck” Chavers, whom she loved as her own son; sisters: Charlotte Millie (Stanley) Zinner of Robertsdale, Alabama, Sharon Ann Young of Pensacola, and Martha Ellen Watts of Pace; brothers: Gerald Eugene (Ernestine) Wiggins of Cantonment, Donald Arthur (Sally) Wiggins of Portland, Oregon and Leon Horace Wiggins of Huntsville, Alabama; nine grandchildren and her favorite Aunt Flo, with whom she was raised like a sister, as they were so close in age.
Mrs. Hadley was a housewife and mother and a child of God. She loved to dance in her younger days and later enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She loved sitting on her back porch and watching the squirrels eat the seeds and nuts she threw them.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 12:00 at Eastern Gate.

Clark Jefferson Fisher

Clark Jefferson Fisher, 76, of Cantonment, FL went to heaven to join his loving wife of 50 years, Ann Fisher. Clark was born May 14, 1941 in Akron, OH, son of the late Leona and Ralph Fisher. Clark served his country honorably in the US Army Reserves for over six years.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Lee Price (Julius), and Jeff Fisher. Four grandchildren, Jacob Fisher (Kellie) and Jessie Fisher and Lauren and Austin Price. Two great-grandchildren, Kendal and Samuel Fisher.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10 to 11 am at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with services to follow at 11 am. A private entombment will take place at a later date.
The family has requested that donations be made in Clark’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Mrs. Eleanor Daniel Bell, age 87, of Atmore, AL., passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Robertsdale, AL. She was a real estate broker and insurance agent. She owned and operated Fern Bell Agency and Real Estate. She was born in Monroeville, AL. to the late Hurdis Leon and Bessie Eleanor Mims Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fern Bell, Jr. and a son, Monty Daniel Bell.
Bell is survived by two sons, Jeff Edward (Tammy) Bell of Enterprise, AL, Mark Cullen Bell of Atmore; one daughter, Sharron Bell (Donald) Bullard of Atmore; two brothers, John Daniel of Mobile, and Raymond (Paula) Daniel of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Crawford of Huntsville,and Margaret (Jerald) Jaye of Ono Island, FL; grandchildren, Robert Corey Loop, Joshawa Bell, Justin Bell, Katherine Bell, Jeff Edward Bell II, Nathan Bell and Remington Bell; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends; special friend, Mrs. Eva and other Robertsdale Nursing Home residents.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

James Pangburn

James (Jim) Pangburn 78, of Milton, Florida, passed away June 10, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born August 15, 1938, in Covington, Kentucky.
Jim is preceded by his wife of 33 years, Mary Annette Pangburn, and his parents, William and Mary Pangburn. Jim is survived by his sister, Billie Peters of Covington, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was an outgoing and generous person to all who knew him.
We express a special thank you to the staff at Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center for their caring and compassionate love for Jim. Also, a special thank you to his niece, Renee and her husband, Ken Paterna for standing beside Jim during his transition from this life into God’s eternal kingdom.
A private graveside service for Jim will be held at a later date.
