Levice Marie Haynie, 78 of Atmore passed away Wednesday June 14, 2017, in Pensacola. She was a technical editor with Civil Service (NAS) Pensacola, born on August 15, 1938, to the late EK and Bertha Lambert Bowman in Atmore

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Angus Bowman.

Survivors are husband, Luke Haynie of Atmore; daughters Tya (David) Hoftling of SC, and Mia Evatt of Saraland; gandchildren: Letah (Nathan) Bishop and Dorian Stoutamire and brother E.K. “Bo” Bowman,Jr of Homosassa, FL.

Services will be Friday June 23, 2017, 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends, Thrusday evening June 22, 2017 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

Helen Hadley

June 23, 2017

Helen Hadley, 77, of Cantonment, passed away on June 22, 2017. She was born in 1940 to Eugene and Mary Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.D. Hadley and one grandchild. She is survived by her sons Bruce (Tina) Chavers and Bobby Chavers ; daughters Marcella Wayne and Mary Ann (Don) Larson; step-son Mallory “Buck” Chavers, whom she loved as her own son; sisters: Charlotte Millie (Stanley) Zinner of Robertsdale, Alabama, Sharon Ann Young of Pensacola, and Martha Ellen Watts of Pace; brothers: Gerald Eugene (Ernestine) Wiggins of Cantonment, Donald Arthur (Sally) Wiggins of Portland, Oregon and Leon Horace Wiggins of Huntsville, Alabama; nine grandchildren and her favorite Aunt Flo, with whom she was raised like a sister, as they were so close in age.

Mrs. Hadley was a housewife and mother and a child of God. She loved to dance in her younger days and later enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She loved sitting on her back porch and watching the squirrels eat the seeds and nuts she threw them.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 12:00 at Eastern Gate.

Clark Jefferson Fisher

June 22, 2017

Clark Jefferson Fisher, 76, of Cantonment, FL went to heaven to join his loving wife of 50 years, Ann Fisher. Clark was born May 14, 1941 in Akron, OH, son of the late Leona and Ralph Fisher. Clark served his country honorably in the US Army Reserves for over six years.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Lee Price (Julius), and Jeff Fisher. Four grandchildren, Jacob Fisher (Kellie) and Jessie Fisher and Lauren and Austin Price. Two great-grandchildren, Kendal and Samuel Fisher.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10 to 11 am at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with services to follow at 11 am. A private entombment will take place at a later date.

The family has requested that donations be made in Clark’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Eleanor Daniel Bell

Mrs. Eleanor Daniel Bell, age 87, of Atmore, AL., passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Robertsdale, AL. She was a real estate broker and insurance agent. She owned and operated Fern Bell Agency and Real Estate. She was born in Monroeville, AL. to the late Hurdis Leon and Bessie Eleanor Mims Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fern Bell, Jr. and a son, Monty Daniel Bell.

Bell is survived by two sons, Jeff Edward (Tammy) Bell of Enterprise, AL, Mark Cullen Bell of Atmore; one daughter, Sharron Bell (Donald) Bullard of Atmore; two brothers, John Daniel of Mobile, and Raymond (Paula) Daniel of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Crawford of Huntsville,and Margaret (Jerald) Jaye of Ono Island, FL; grandchildren, Robert Corey Loop, Joshawa Bell, Justin Bell, Katherine Bell, Jeff Edward Bell II, Nathan Bell and Remington Bell; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends; special friend, Mrs. Eva and other Robertsdale Nursing Home residents.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.

James Pangburn

James (Jim) Pangburn 78, of Milton, Florida, passed away June 10, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born August 15, 1938, in Covington, Kentucky.

Jim is preceded by his wife of 33 years, Mary Annette Pangburn, and his parents, William and Mary Pangburn. Jim is survived by his sister, Billie Peters of Covington, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was an outgoing and generous person to all who knew him.

We express a special thank you to the staff at Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center for their caring and compassionate love for Jim. Also, a special thank you to his niece, Renee and her husband, Ken Paterna for standing beside Jim during his transition from this life into God’s eternal kingdom.

A private graveside service for Jim will be held at a later date.

Mickey Diane Nichols Roley

Mickey Diane Nichols Roley, 62 of Bratt, Florida, passed away June 16, 2017, in Pensacola, FL. She was born on August 21, 1954, in Brewton, AL, to the late Chester and Cora Lee Nelson Nichols.

She worked in the Bratt Elementary School cafeteria then later at Bratt-Davisville Water System. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Sammy Nichols. She was a loving mother and nana.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Roley of Bratt, FL; two sons, John (Charlotte) Roley of Bratt, FL and Kenneth (Sherry) Roley of Davisville, FL; two grandchildren, Tyler Roley and Savannah Roley; one brother, Dennis (Tammy) Nichols; and two half sisters, Lisa Lee of Flomaton, AL and Suzie Nichols of Century, FL.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, 2017, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Hudson officiating.

Burial was in Godwin Cemetery.

Irma H. Beech

Irma H. Beech, 97 of Huxford, AL passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at her residence. She was a homemaker. She was born in Richton, MS on January 16, 1920, to the late Samuel M. and Sophia Robertson Hartley. She was a member of Huxford Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Putt” Beech; sons, William “Mack” Beech and Ray Marshall; two brothers, Glenn A. Hartley, Sr. and James A. Hartley and one sister, Laverle Lea.

Survivors include her daughter, Quita Kimbrough of Montgomery, AL; eight grandchildren; eight nieces and five nephews.

Services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Boyd officiating.

Active pallbearers were Daniel Ellison, Sean Bonner, Mark Helton, Albert Hartley, Sam Hartley, and Robert Hartley.

Mr. C.W. “Pete” Helton, 88, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Bay Minette, Alabama.

Mr. Helton was a native and lifelong resident of Robinsonville, AL. He was a Sunday School teacher for 60 years, ordained Deacon, and was a member of the Robinsonville Baptist Church and the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church, president of Cattleman’s Association, active in Farm Bureau and Atmore Trucker’s Association. He was owner of Snappy Car Wash and Laundry for 30 plus years and a farmer for most of his life. In the military he received a Medal for Good Conduct, two medals for Courage and Dependability, medal for Sharp Shooter for a 45 caliber, Tank Weapons and Expert Gunner Medal and the Tank Medal for the 86th Tank Division.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fonnie Martin Helton and Junie Etta Bell Helton; first wife, Ruby Earline Helton; one sister, Ima Crawford; and one brother, Robert “Bobby” Helton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Helton of Robinsonville, AL; four sons, Alan Helton of Atmore, AL, Roger (Beverly) Helton of Atmore, AL, Osborn (Kathy) Linam of Spanish Fort, AL and Desmond Linam of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Linda (Billy) Farr of Atmore, AL and Dawn (Tim) Turner of Atmore, AL; two brothers, Dr. Kendrel (Nancy) Helton of Huntsville, AL and Clyde (Gladys) Helton of Robinsonville, AL; two sisters, Leople Peacock of Montgomery, AL and Nelda Jernigan of Montgomery, AL ; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Heard officiating.

Burial was at the Robinsonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Whitehead, Dustin Helton, Nolan Linam, Nate Turner, Craig Helton, Cody Helton, Trent Linam and Colton Whitehead.

Mrs. Luvern Passmore, 105, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.

Mrs. Passmore was a native of Brewton, AL and was a longtime resident of Pensacola, FL. She was a member of the Olive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Master Sergeant Melton Passmore and seven brothers, Marshall, Raymond, Juber, Edward, Aaron, Roger and Amond Steele.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Violeta Passmore of Grove Hill, AL; two grandsons, Robert and Schon Passmore of Jackson, AL and Richard Passmore of Grove Hill, AL; two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Shawn Claxton of Jackson, AL and Ethan and Katrina Passmore of Jackson, AL; two great-great grandchildren, Addie and Anna Claxton of Jackson, AL; and four brothers, Cleveland Steele of Panama City, FL, Artis Steele of Pensacola, FL, Norman O. Steele of Molino, FL and Benny Earl Steele of McCullough, AL.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Passmore officiating.
