Larry Allen

Larry Allen, 65, of Molino, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2017. He was an avid bass fisherman, who previously was a well respected fishing guide on Lake Seminole and a licensed Florida auctioneer. He did many charitable auctions for Ducks Unlimited, Wild Turkey Federation and Crippled Children’s Home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mamie Allen.

He is survived by his son, Rodney Allen (Carol) and their children, Gracie Allen, and Brady Allen, of Cantonment, FL; son, Dale Allen (Joan) and their daughter, Justine Jamisola, Tampa, FL; sister, Sandra Smith; brother, Randy Allen (Jeannie); many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2017, beginning at noon, with services beginning at 1:00p.m. at Molino First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Pugh Cemetery.

Deborah Downey Still

Mrs. Deborah Downey Still, 59, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in Atmore, Alabama.

Mrs. Still was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, AL. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Mary Elizabeth Downey; and brother, Maurice Earl Downey.

She is survived by one son, Justin Bryan Still of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Heidi and Nathaniel Dortch of Atmore, AL; one sister, Vickie and Terry Day of McCullough, AL; and seven grandchildren, Kirsten Still, Jadon Still, Bryleigh Still, Adalene Dortch, Bailey Knighton, Bentley Dortch and Aryonna Dortch.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 3, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Myles Downey, Lamar White, Danny Wilson, Ricky White, Norman Wilson and Ronnie Barnhill.

Ruby Lee Tedder

November 5, 2017

Mrs. Ruby Lee Tedder, 81, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Jay, Florida.

Mrs. Tedder was a native of Jay, FL and a lifelong resident of Century, FL. She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mancel Tedder and daughter-in-law, Mikki Tedder. Mrs. Tedder was the last of six children.

She is survived by her three sons, Ray Tedder of Century, FL, Rickey (Tina) Tedder of Walnut Hill, FL and Kenny (Lisa) Tedder of Jay, FL; two daughters, Jackie Lambert of Century, FL and Tina Money of Port St. Joe, FL; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Lee officiating.

Burial will follow at the Byrneville Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Tedder, Aaron Money, Rickey Tedder, Dillon Tedder, Ryan Caldwell and Kevin Dixon.

Ronald Dallas Moncrief

November 5, 2017

Ronald Dallas Moncrief passed from this life into the next on October 31, 2017, at the age of 84 surrounded by loving family. Ron was born in Cooledge, Georgia on June 13, 1933, and resided in Pensacola, Florida for the last 30 years.

Ron served his country with over 20 years in the Navy as a flying simulator instructor and worked on P3 instrumentation and avionics. He was an avid gardener and pilot and enjoyed numerous hobbies including painting, picking on his guitar and banjo, building model airplanes, and always enjoyed a good game of golf.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Henderson Blake and Louis Moncrief and by a sister, Carolyn Amrhein.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Joyce Graves Moncrief; sisters, Sandra Mustoffa (Jerry), Martha Davidson (Merrill), and Kathy Ferguson (Tom); children, Rusty Plenkers (Suzanne), Ronda Nelson (Don), Steve Moncrief (Debbie), and Tracy King (Jeff); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, with Reverend Brian Calhoun officiating.

Brenda King Santinelli

Brenda King Santinelli, 63, of Pensacola, went to be with her savior on November 2, 2017.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend to many. She cherished time with her family and loved spending time outdoors.

Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Jonnie King and father, Russell “Tony” King.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Mario; her son, Mark (Jodi) Santinelli; daughter, Melinda (Mike) Moulton; grandchildren, Dillon, Dustin, Chase and Shelby; her four siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Sunday, November 5, 2017,  at Gonzalez United Methodist Church.

Michael John Simpson, Jr.

Michael (Mike) John Simpson, Jr. 88 of Gulf Breeze, FL, formally of Atmore, AL, passed away October 30, 2017, in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Montgomery, AL on April 27, 1929, to the late Michael John. Sr. and Susan B. Anthony Rae Simpson. He was a graduate of West Point class of 1951 and served in the 101st Airborne Division in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was owner and operator of Mike Simpson Fertilizer Company in Atmore, Demopolis and Tensaw River in Alabama and was an international business entrepreneur in Central America. He was a former member of St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church.

His parents and a brother, Ray Simpson, precede him in death.

He is survived by sons, Michael John (Brittany) Simpson, III of Gulf Breeze, FL and Jose Luis (Cecy) Simpson Montellano of Aguascalientes City, Mexico; his daughters, Susan Magdalena (Juan) Simpson of Wharton, New Jersey; Susan Elizabeth (Omar) Simpson of Aguascalientes City, Mexico; Susan Brenda Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; Sheila SBAR Simpson of Gulf Breeze, FL; and 10 grandchildren, Marco, Anthony, Susan and Christopher Sanchez, Gabriel Emilio and Ana Paola Delgado Simpson, Kai Michael and Beau Asa Simpson, Francisco Lazaro Arias and Lola-Ruth Graham.

Services were held Saturday, November 4, 2017, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gordon Milsted officiating.

Inurnment will follow at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Tara Cheyenne Hammond, 23, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in Flomaton, Alabama.

Cheyenne was a native of Pensacola, FL and a lifelong resident of Flomaton, AL. She was a 2012 graduate of Flomaton High School and a 2014 graduate of Pensacola State College as a Massage Therapist. She is preceded in death by her great- great-grandmother, Rhoda Sapp; great-grandfather, Joseph Gray, Jr.; special friends, Cody Johns, Allen Spears and Jonathan Ray Wilson.

She is survived by her father, Glenn F. and Danielle Hammond II of Walnut Hill, FL; mother, Lisa Watkins of Flomaton, AL; maternal grandparents, Marty and Ann Gray of Flomaton, AL; paternal grandparents, Glenn F. Hammond, Sr. (Wanda Dunlap) of Cantonment, FL and Dorothy “Dee” and Cecil Counts of Dayton, OH; one brother, Israel Hammond of Walnut Hill, FL; uncle, Aaron Hammond of Pensacola, FL; aunt, Rhonda and Scott Lassiter of Flomaton, AL; cousin, Hunter Lassiter of Flomaton, AL; best friends, Felicia and Patrick Perdue and God-children, Colton, Kadahlyn and Bristol of Flomaton, AL, Kalanea Fore of Flomaton, AL; and big brother, Corey “Buzz” Busbee of Flomaton, AL.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Patrick Perdue officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rock Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sandra Lynn Killam, 46, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Flomaton, Alabama.

Mrs. Killam was a native of Maricopa County, AZ and a lifelong resident of Flomaton, AL. She was a 1990 graduate of Flomaton High School and a member of the Poplar Dell Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, Harry T. and Ann Killam of Flomaton, AL; one sister, Jennifer Ann Killam of Flomaton, AL; her friend and mentor, Mrs. Anise Bell; special cousin, Hayes Browning, the brother she never had; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be Friday, November 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Poplar Dell Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Macks officiating.

Lillian Merle Smith Davis

Mrs. Lillian Merle Smith Davis of Davisville, FL passed away Sunday October 29, 2017. She was born on December 20, 1925, in Atmore, AL, to the late Ernie and Lucy (McElhaney) Smith. She was married to William (Willie) Davis.

She is survived by one son, William (Sonny) and wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Eunice (Billy) Edgar and LuCindy Harrison; grandchildren, Billy (Cindy) Davis, Randell (Jackie) Davis, Denny (Tina) Davis, and Tony (Jenny) Davis, Sonja (David) Lambert, James (Sally) Edgar, Michael (Amanda) Edgar, and Ollie Edgar, Cary Jordan and Chris Edwards.

Services will be Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Pine Barren Cemetery.

Family will receive friends, Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.

Dakota Adam Amerson

October 31, 2017

Dakota Adam Amerson, age 12, was born in Pensacola, FL, on June 15, 2005. He was raised in Cantonment, FL and passed away at home Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

During the course of his short life, Dakota touched the hearts and lives of many. His testimony is larger than this page allows. The medical challenges Dakota faced early in life shaped the way his family functioned and forever changed our perspective. Despite the short prognosis the doctors gave of three months, Dakota held on and his strength endured for 12 and a half years. We are honored to have had the privilege of caring for and sharing life with this precious child of God. We love you Dakota!

Dakota is survived by his parents, Stephen and Laura Amerson; brothers, Logan, Gabriel and Isiah; grandparents, John and Cheryl Ryan, Lori Amerson and Curtis and Mary Amerson; great-grandparents, Pat Ryan, Curtis and Betty Amerson and Mary Griffin; aunts and uncles, Charles and Brittany Ryan, Jason and Heather Amerson and Cindy Romine; cousins, Angelina, Sara, Lilyth, Harley, Jaxon, Riley and Bellamy and so many more wonderful people.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 30, 2017, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Bill Flanagan serving as officiant.

Interment was at Cottage Hill Methodist Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Stephen Amerson, Isiah Davis, Logan Amerson, Jason Amerson, John Ryan and Charles Ryan.

Gabriel Amerson and Curtis Amerson were honorary pallbearers.
