Linda Williams Acker

69, of Pensacola slipped away peacefully to be with the Lord Sunday morning, May 20, 2018 at home in the arms of her family. Mrs. Acker was born in Ironwood, MI on September 21, 061948. She was raised in Robbinsville, NC and moved to Pensacola during her junior high years. A graduate of Pensacola Junior College, she was a secretary in the medical field, and member and very active soul winner in East Brent Baptist Church. She touched the lives of many.
Preceding Linda in death are her mother, Marjorie Burns Edeker; father, Archie F. Weaver; stepfather, Clay Gormley; son, Warren L Williams, Jr. and former husband, Warren L Williams, Sr. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Richard “Rick” Acker; daughter, Kristy Quinata (Robert); granddaughter, Kathryn Aaron; grandson, Justin Quinata; stepson, Christopher Acker (Amy); step granddaughter, Summer Acker; step grandson, Lukas Acker; half-sister, Sheila Keever (Marshall); half-brother, Joey Venable (Donna) and four great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the professional and caring members of her
transition teams: Specialty Health and Rehab, STAT Home Health Care, and Regency Hospice.
Visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 10:30am until services beginning at 11:30am. Brother Dale Patterson will officiate. Pall bearers will be members of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, with honorary pallbearers being members of Linda’s Sunday School Class. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at jdrf.org.
Betty Spence Hare

Betty Spence Hare, 71 of Walnut Hill, FL, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, in Pensacola, FL. She was a homemaker, born on December 5, 1946, in Escambia County, FL to the late Ranson C. and Evelyn English Spence. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Argent “Rabbit” Hare, and a sister, Dorothy Spence.
Survivors include three sons: Jeff (Jennifer) Hare of Dry Springs, FL, James (Regina) Hare of Walnut Hill, FL, and Joseph (Brehia) Hare of Bay Minette, AL; two brothers, Vernon (Linda) Spence of Geneva, AL and James W. (Jessie) Spence of Little Rock, AL; two sisters, Inez Freeman of Walnut Hill, FL and Carolyn (Ervin) Thortis of Christian Home, FL; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at noon from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating.
Interment was in Dry Springs Cemetery.
Active and honorary pallbearers were her nephews.

William D. (Bill) Robbins

William D. (Bill) Robbins was the son of Joe and Mae Robbins of Walnut Hill, Florida. He was born on December 2,1926. He went to be with his Lord on May 17, 2018. He was 91 years old. He served his country in the Navy and later in the Air Force. On retirement from the military, he went to work with civil service working with sheet metal fabrication.
He was married to Ramona Yosin Robbins and raised 4 children. He became a widower in 1975. He later married Bernice Lucas Robbins. He became a widower in 2015.
He is survived by a daughter, Ramona Anne Robbins Gay (Charles) of Walnut Hill and a son Michael Joseph Robbins, Pace, Florida; by his grandsons Nathan Robbins (Jenny) of Yokosuka, Japan, Kurt Robbins of Walnut Hill and Michael Gay (Brittaney) of Walnut Hill and a granddaughter Tina Parr of North Carolina; four great granddaughters: Brianna Gay, Ella Robbins, Lily Mae Robbins and Destiny Hensley; three great grandsons: Alexander Gay, Tyler Hensley and Daniel Lunsford. He is survived by a niece who was raised like a sister to him. Arlene Delafosse. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, etc.
He is predeceased by his parents, three sisters: Mary Magdalene Robbins, Louree Battaglia, and Charline Warrick and three brothers: Alton Robbins, Theodore Robbins, and Harrell Robbins; a son, Bill Robbins, Jr. and a daughter Peggy Robbins Parr and a granddaughter, Tammy Michelle Gay.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday May 21, 2018, at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment, Florida with Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Burial will follow services at Walnut Hill cemetery. Pall bearers will be his grandsons Kurt Robbins and Michael Gay and nephews Alan Robbins, Matt Robbins, Phillip Robbins and Greg Robbins.
Lula Mae Colbert Parker

Lula Mae Colbert Parker, 84 of Atmore, AL, passed away Thursday May 17, 2018 in Atmore. She was born on October 13, 1933 in Monroe County, AL, to the late Wesley B. Arlie Shipp Hayles. She was a retired draw twist operator at Masland Carpets. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband David Colbert and her second husband William “Bill” Parker; son Curtis David Colbert and a sister Lisa Freeman and a brother Eubie B. Hayles.
She is survived by her two sons Cecil Wayne (Belinda) Colbert of Davisville, AL. and James Wesley (Lisa) Colbert of Atmore, AL. Two brothers Ed (Frances) Hayles of Poarch, AL. and Tommy (Janice) Hayles of Atmore, AL. Two grandchildren Linda (Kevin) Jones and Haley (Dempsey) Rolin. Seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside services will held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM from Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating. Active pallbearers will be Nick Boutwell, David Boutwell, Jonathan Boutwell, Kevin Jones, Dempsey Rolin, and Robbie Hayles.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6pm until 8pm from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Sidney R. Perry III

Sidney R. Perry III, 83, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
Sidney was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. He graduated from McCallie Military School, Chattanooga, TN in 1953. He then attended Virginia Military Institute and graduated with a BA degree in 1957. Sidney’s grandfather graduated from VMI in 1892 and his father in 1926.
Sidney served in the US Army 4th Armored Division, 22nd Artillery and was stationed in Germany from 1958-1959.
Sidney retired from the Monsanto Corporation, Pensacola, FL in 1991 with 35 years of service.
Sidney enjoyed clog dancing with his wife in the Sunshine Cloggers Club; spending time at Lake Burton, GA and in the country at the farm in Darlington, FL. He was also an avid reader of history and western books. Nothing gave him more pleasure than to spend time with family and friends.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents Sidney R. Perry Jr and Mary Anne Haley Perry and son Adrian Lee Jacobs.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years Madge M. Perry; his children, Sidney R. Perry IV (Marie), Gregory Jacobs (Josephine), Teresa Freeman (Tom) and Michele Lee Jacobs; his grandchildren, Ashley Roman (Jonathon), Luke Perry and Lindsey Perry; his great grandchildren Lawson and Greyson and his two furry friends, Duke and Roo. Sidney also leaves behind one brother, Allen G. Perry (Glenda) and two sisters, Jeanne League (Bob) and Joanne Anthony.

Lora Mae Findley Springer, of Canoe, AL. passed away Monday May 14, 2018, at her residence. She was retired as a Cook from Jefferson Regional Medical Center, born in Rains County, TX on July 23, 1938 to the late Pat and Sybil Northcutt Foreman. She was a member of First Apostolic Church of Flomaton.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, James L. Findley, II, Daughter Joan Horton, Step-Son, Richard, Brother, James P. Foreman, Sister, Pauline Messer, One/half Brother, Kenneth.
Survivors are: Three Sons: James Guy (Charla) Springer of Arkansas. John Henry (Kathy) Springer of North Dakota, Joseph (Stephanie) Springer of California. Three Daughters: Sarah Jean Hayes of Canoe, AL. Jeri Yvonne (Jose) Cisneros of Canoe, AL. Jessie Gayle Brady of Arkansas. One Sister, Dee (Charles) Hilton Mesquite, TX One/half, Sister’s Patty and Lorrine. Eight Step-Children, Carol, Mary, Linda, Margie, Wesley, Eddie, Donnie. Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday May 19, 2018 at 11AM from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Colley and Bro. Max Stinson officiating Interment will follow in Robinsonville Baptist Cemetery. Mary E. “Doodlebug” Ferguson

Mary E. “Doodlebug” Ferguson, 85, of Escambia Cty., FL passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018.
Doodlebug was a graduate of Tate High School class of 1951 and a member of Klondike Baptist Church. During her life, Doodlebug enjoyed serving at church, bowling and cooking. One of her greatest joys was teaching Sunday school and playing on the church softball team. She also served as church secretary for over 40 years. On Friday and Saturday nights you would find her at Felton Bowling Alley where she was a member of the bowling league and served as secretary for over 50 years. She enjoy traveling the country and bowling in tournaments, annual family vacations to Minnesota and Texas. Doodledug also enjoyed spending time with her best friends Nona Tisdale, Minnie May Dunaway and Sue Farthing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Bruce” Ferguson; daughter, Susan Martinez; grandson, Zachary Martinez; father, Pete Olsen; mother, Effie Olsen; sisters, Helen Cole and Ruby Moore; and brothers, Peter Olsen and Willie Olsen.
Doodlebug is survived by son, David (Pattie) Martinez; daughters, Janey Ferguson and Felicia (Jeremiah) Johnson; grandchildren, Anamarie (Lincoln) Mixson, Britin (Jason) Baber, Jaiden, Jainae, Makayla, and Tristian Johnson; great grandchildren, Maria and Jaxson Baber and Evie and Wyatt Mixson; brothers, Eben Jerry Olsen and Mike Olsen; sisters, Nellree Williams, Frances Hampton, Janis (Larry) Scott, and Janey (Tom) Hood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Peggy Diann Cain

Peggy Diann Cain went to be with her Heavenly Father May 15, 2018. Peggy was born in Pensacola, FL. She was a devoted wife, mother, and maw maw. Peggy always put her family first.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Daniel “Sonny” Lee; and daughter, Cheryl Cain.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Danny Cain; children, Cindy (Jeremy) Jarvis and Daniel (Stacey) Cain; grandchildren, Wyatt and Emily Jarvis and Hunter and Gage Cain.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor David Shofner officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery, Clear Springs, AL.

Mr. Patrick “Pat” Conn, age 60, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, in Mobile, AL.
Mr. Conn was a native of California and has resided in Atmore, AL, for most of his life. He was avid Auburn fan, well liked and was of the Catholic faith. He is preceded in death by his faithful companion, Susan Brown; parents, Harold and Jean Conn, stepmother Betty Conn and brother Jimbo Johnson.
Survivors include his two sons, Chris (Sandy) Brown of Oak Grove, FL, and Clint (Liana Lambeth) Brown of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Shelley (Don) Presley of Perdido, AL, and Blaire (Chris) Singleton of Atmore, AL; one brother, Hal Johnson of Atmore, AL; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Bridges officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

William Thomas Jenner

William Thomas Jenner, loving father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 87 in Pensacola, FL on Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born on January 19, 1931, in Syracuse, NY to the late Harold Leo Jenner and Alice Welch Jenner. William served in the Air National Guard and a life member of the North Syracuse Volunteer Fire Department, where he served in many offices including chief of the department in the 1970’s. William worked for AMF for many years repairing bowling machines. After leaving AMF he worked at various bowling alleys in Central New York. He was one of 10 men from the East Coast chosen to work at the ABC Bowling Tournament in Detroit, MI. William retired as a courier at NAS Pensacola.
He enjoyed bird watching at his home and square dancing at Seaside Squares where he served as president for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John R. Jenner and Richard J. Jenner; sisters, Mary Alice and Margaret Jenner.
William is survived by his daughters, Brenda J. Falter of North Syracuse, NY and Donna M. (Donald) Mula of Brewerton, NY; longtime companion, Ann Brown of Cantonment, FL ; grandsons, Christopher J. (Wendy) Gordon, Mathew A. Falter, and William T. Falter; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Beth, Ashley, and Cheyenne; brother, Harold Jenner of Gulfport, MS; sister, Rose Marie (Patrick) Bowyer of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
