Cynthia Perdue Hensley

Mrs. Cynthia Perdue Hensley, 65, of Molino passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018.  She was born on November 28, 1952, to the late Wyeth and Nellie Perdue in Butler County, Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hensley and brother, Micky Perdue.  She is survived by her son, Chad (Tabatha) Welch, granddaughter Haley Galloway, sister Sherry (Ray) Chance, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own.  Her kind, caring, and patient nature earned friendships with anyone she came in contact with, and her friends were always welcomed into her family.  She had an amazing talent of making everyone feel special, and those acts will always be treasured.

Pallbearers will be Charles Moyers, Pat Dailey, Kenny Ogwynn, Mike Elliott, Jimmy Elliott and Ray Harrell.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Highway 29, Cantonment, FL.  Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Charles Eugene Gilley

Mr. Charles Eugene Gilley, age 71, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2018 at his home in Bratt, Florida.

Mr. Gilley was a native and life long resident of Bratt, FL. He was a retired CSX Conductor with 36 years of service and a member of the Bratt First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Algy Mae Gilley and one brother, James Gilley.

Survivors include his wife of 48 ½ years, Rose Gilley of Bratt, FL; one son, Charles Eric (Kerri) Gilley of Bratt, FL; two daughters, Crystal Gilley (Josh) Calvert of Flomaton, AL and Deana Gilley (Jonathan) Edwards of Branson, MI; three sisters, Betty Jean Hall of Bratt, FL, Yvonne Aden of Bratt, FL and Sharron Murell of Byrneville, FL; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and special son-in-law, Ben Brown of Atmore, AL.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Otis Thames and Mr. Terry Bryan officiating.

Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ben Brown, Josh Calvert, Wade Stoker, Carlee Edwards, David Amerson and Edward Gilman.

George Marion Colbert

July 4, 2018

George Marion Colbert, 57 of Atmore, AL, passed away Monday July 2, 2018, in Atmore, AL. He was an industrial insulator , born in Atmore, AL, on January 20, 1961m to the late Cullen and Iona Elmira “Dot” Woods Colbert. He was a member of Bratt Assembly of God Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Glenda Fay Colbert and  Linda Theon Colbert.

Survivors are his wife, Terry Kirby Colbert of Atmore, AL; daughter Delica Rabb of Monroeville, ALl brother, Robbie (Judy) Colbert of Perdido, AL; and two grandchildren Charity and Destinee.

Graveside services will be Thursday July 5, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. in Perdido Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Rick Maharrey officiating. Interment will follow in Perdido Baptist Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday July 5, 2018, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m.

Judy Elaine Thompson

Judy Elaine Thompson, 66, of Atmore, AL, passed away July 3, 2018 ,surrounded by her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be dearly missed by all. She was born on November 3, 1951, in Atmore, AL, to the late Odell Donaldson and Sylvia Joan Strawbridge Johnson. She was a member of the McRae Street United Methodist Church. She was retired from Vanity Fair Mills. After retirement she owned a home day care for over 10 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Joe Johnson, brother in law Bill Phillips, nephew Chad Phillips and stepbrother Jim Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Clark Duval Thompson of Atmore, AL, two sons Shayne Godwin (Ashley Harris) of Spanish Fort, AL, Blake Godwin (Marie Connors) of Bay Minette, AL, four daughters Shelley (Billy) Donald of Atmore, AL, Hope (Shawn) Lassiter of Atmore, AL, Courtney (Chris) Harrison of Atmore, AL, Valerie (Mychal) Reddix of Atmore, AL, a brother Gary Donaldson of Atmore, AL. and sisters Peggy Phillips of Atmore, AL, Patty (Gerald Parmer) of Huxford, AL, Marilyn (Danny) Stone of Birmingham, AL, sister in law Sheila Donaldson, grandchildren Megan, Caitlyn, Hannah, Baylie, Natalie, Eli, Sydnie, Kylie, Meredith, Harper, Riley, Julian, Cam, Sebastian and three great grandchildren Nikko, Aurora and Odin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Flomaton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Phillips, Michael Donaldson, Steven Donaldson, Eli Godwin, Paxton Hobbs and Gary Bailey.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 6, 2018, from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Sharon Scarling Worsham

Ms. Sharon Scarling Worsham, age 72, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at her home in Daphne, Alabama.

Mrs. Worsham was a native of Dothan, AL, former longtime resident of Loxley, AL, and had resided in Daphne, AL for the past 10 years. She was a retired office manager for Baldwin County Mental Health with 17 years of service. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Daphne, AL.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Joseph Scarling; her mother, Minnie Beverly Scarling; and one brother, Robert Louis Constantine.

She is survived by her seven daughters, Rebecca (Charles) White of Spanish Fork, UT, Rachel (Zack) Wigstrom of Loxley, AL, Lisa (Marcic) Williams of Daphne, AL, Christina (Kevin) Nolte of Daphne, AL, Michelle Worsham of Spanish Fort, AL, Catherine Worsham of Charleston, SC and Tiffany (Josh) Kohl of Port Neches, TX; one brother, Henry “Butch” (Nancy) Constantine of Arden, NC; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Daphne, AL.

Burial will follow at the Mobile Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Daphne, AL.

Pallbearers will be Charles White, Nathan White, Gavin Loria, Kevin Nolte, Zack Wilgstrom and Josh Kohl.

Emma Jean Jernigan

Emma Jean Jernigan, age 92, moved to heaven June 29, 2018. She was born in Tallassee, Alabama.  Jean lived most of her life in Cantonment, FL. She owned and ran a local restaurant for years in the Cantonment area and made many friends serving them barbecue with her own special barbecue sauce and spent many hours playing cards with her friends.

Survivors include her children, Eddie Ledbetter (Brenda), Grady Ledbetter (Pamela) and loving daughter, Diane Emmons (Billy); grandchildren, Jim Shawler and Darrin Shawler, Wendy Allen, Ken Ledbetter, Tracy Rasmussen, Kelly Ledbetter, Luke Ledbetter; and great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Allen, Tracy and Hannah Shawler, Fisher and Bayley Rasmussen, Evelyn and Elena Ledbetter.

Jean was preceded in death by her son, Wendell Ledbetter; daughter, Sylvia Shawler and grandson, Wayne Allen.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with services to be held at 2 p.m. on July 3, 2018, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Patrick Arthur Robinson

Patrick Arthur Robinson, age 68, passed away June 23, 2018.

Patrick is preceded in death by his father, Lucian Roosevelt Robinson; mother, Flossie Mae Clark Robinson; brothers, Edward Robinson, James “Jimmy” Robinson, and Larry Robinson; sisters, Barbara Robinson Dansby and Becky Robinson Medows.

Patrick is survived by his life partner, Jackie Annette Lambert; sons, Patrick Ray Robinson and Adam Casey Robinson; daughters, Meagan Robinson Southern, and Emily Robinson Stronko; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Robinson Mathis, Marsha Robinson Wesson, Charlotte Robinson Donaldson, and Nan Robinson Harvey; brothers, Dick Robinson and Michael Robinson.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Smith, Joseph Mathis, Israel Robinson, Chance Robinson, David Holmquist and Damon Dansby.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 1-2 p.m.  at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Brother Wesley Smith will be officiating. Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery.

Jimmie Taylor

Jimmie Taylor, 79, of Jay, Florida passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018.

He enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers, loving his family and drinking sweet tea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Willie Bee Taylor; sons, James Boots Taylor and Eugene Taylor and brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Adam Taylor, Amber Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Alex Moody and Angie Moody, many great-grandchildren and his sister, Addie Lee Moore.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services following at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ebenezer Church, 4200 Ebenezer Church Road, Jay, Florida with Brother Bobby Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Jerry Neal

Jerry Neal, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Jerry was born August 30, 1935 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, to Frank and Mable (McQuary) Neal. Jerry was a 1954 graduate of Vardaman High School in Vardaman, MS. He entered the Army on April 23, 1954 and served until July 31, 1962. He went on to graduate from Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in business. He married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca Jo Allen. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in April. Together, they had 1 daughter. He worked in retail management, ending his career as a Regional Vice-President with Walmart in 2007.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Rebecca; daughter, Angela Neal Thiessen and her husband Jeff Thiessen, granddaughter Kelsi Breeayn Thiessen, all of Rogers, Arkansas; nephews Bobby Switzer and his wife Sandra and David Switzer of Aberdeen, Mississippi.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2PM CST at Faith Chapel North, 1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533. The family will greet friends there on Friday from 1:15PM until the time of service.

Edwin H Gould

Edwin H Gould, Jr, 93, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Mr. Gould was born on Feb 16, 1925, in Mobile, AL. He graduated in 1943 from Okolona High School in Okolona, MS. Mr. Gould joined the US Army when he was 18 years old in 1943 and served as a combat medic in WWII in Europe until he was discharged on Mar 27, 1946.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1949 where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Gould married Jennie Louise Graham, of Coden, AL, on Feb 16, 1952. He spent his career as a manager of Morrison’s Cafeterias for 35 years. He and his wife, Jennie, spent their retirement years in Pensacola, FL where they were members of Gadsden Street United Methodist Church. They created cherished memories for the family by taking them on annual beach trips which became the highlight of the families’ years. In Aug 2013 he and Jennie moved to a retirement community in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Gould had a generous heart, was a faithful servant in the church, and was devoted in love to his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jennie Gould. He is survived by his children, Julie Silvey (Michael) of Tampa, FL, Ben Gould (Sharon) of Houston, TX, Bob Gould (Jeanette) of Front Royal, VA, Jennie Shewmake (Bobby) of Birmingham, AL, seven grandchildren, Ryan Silvey (Nicole), Kellie Carroccetto (Charles), Kaitlin Fron (Sam), Christy Megalo (Darren), Brandon Shewmake, Clayton Gould, Kathryn Davis (Jesse), and one great grandchild, Sammy Fron.

Visitation will be at Faith Chapel Funeral Home on July 1, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Barrancas National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Fair Haven Retirement Community and Oasis Hospice for their comfort and care in Mr. Gould’s final days.
