Maxine A. Perkins

Maxine A. Perkins, 87, of Molino, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born May 19, 1931, in Cottondale, Alabama. She was the beloved daughter of the late Eddie Mack Booth and Lillie Mae Allen.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James R. Perkins; parents, Eddie Mack Booth and Lillie Mae Allen; step-father, Carter Herbert; sisters, Mary Alice Fulgham, Mae Francis Hart, Doris Nell Herbert-Stephens; brothers, James Booth, Marvin Booth, and Henry Herbert.
Mrs. Perkins started her career as a waitress, where she met the love of her life in May of 1949. First time she met him he said “I’m going to marry you”, she said “You’re crazy”. Then on July 4, 1949, they were married at Corry Station Chapel in Pensacola, Florida. Now a Navy wife, she began her world travels raising five children and strongly supporting her sailor. While stationed in San Diego, California she worked as a waitress at the Del Coronado where she served aristocrats, movie stars, and politicians; to name just a few, Ronald Reagan, Lucille Ball, Jerry Lewis, and Elvis. Her husband was then selected to be a member of Seal Team 1 on January 1, 1962 (Plank Owner). As a mother of five and a wife of a Navy Seal she packed her family and moved overseas. Once the tour was complete the entire family returned stateside. Upon retirement the family moved to a farm in Titusville, PA. Now a farmer’s wife she began canning, hunting, and fishing. Then her cherished journey began as a grandmother, “Granny”. Years later the family moved again to their final destination, Pensacola, Florida, where the story first began. Mrs. Perkins lived the rest of her life at the same home in Molino, Florida. Now known as “Granny’s House”.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by her daughters, Belinda Christie, Cynthia Perkins, and Oneita Yuhasz; sons, Jimmy (Missy) Perkins, and Bobby (Julie) Perkins; grandchildren, Karen (Scott) Spencer (LeMire), Tammy Mayo (Sosnowski), Lisa McGee (Perkins), J.R. (Rachel) LeMire, Joe (Amanda) Sosnowski, Jason (Hanah) Perkins, Joshua Perkins, Russell McAnally, Tony (Jennifer) Yuhasz, Megan Yuhasz; 19 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Molino, Florida. Rosary to start at 9:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Sosnowski, Russell McAnally, Tyler Storandt, Malcom Mayo, Scott Spencer, and Lamar Flowers.

Henry Raymond Robbins

Mr. Henry Raymond “Pop” Robbins, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in Century, Florida.
Mr. Robbins was a native and lifelong resident of McDavid, FL. He was a brick mason by trade, avid fisherman and loved his family. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Stella Robbins; one son, Ricky Robbins; wife, Margaret Louise Nicholas; two brothers, James R. Robbins and Pellar Robbins; and his dog, Debo.
He is survived by his two sons, Barry (Apryl) Nicholas of McDavid, FL and Clayton (Tammy Moe) Simmons of McDavid, FL; one sister, Carolyn Robbins (Donald) Jordan of Flomaton, AL; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rick MaHarrey officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. until service time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Norma Boutwell Belvin
September 3, 2018
Norma Boutwell Belvin was born on June 28, 1923. She graduated with honors on September 1, 2018, when she moved to Heaven to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the best wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother one could hope for. She was loved by all who met her and most everyone called her Grandmother. Her love and hospitality were contagious. She loved her family with her whole heart. Grandmother taught us to love Jesus and those around us. She truly epitomized a Proverbs 31 woman. Using her gift of service, Norma cooked many memorable meals at both Central Baptist and Scenic Heights Baptist Church, both in Pensacola.
Norma was proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert; her parents and her siblings.
She is survived by her loving children, Bob and Cecilia Belvin, JoAnn and Gary Adams, and Elise and Bobby Drinkard; grandchildren, Lew and Mi Belvin, Grayson and Debi Belvin, Lauren and Bryan Hinote, Ashley Drinkard; and her six great grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.
The family could not have asked for any better care for Grandmother than was given by Pam and Brenda. These ladies became part of our family and the family will forever be grateful for all they did for grandmother and her family.
Special thanks to Adam, Robin and Martha of Emerald Coast Hospice who loved Norma and her family and comforted the sisters in Mother’s final days.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Faith Chapel North from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Interment will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Victoria Cemetery at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Ministry Village at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola.
Gregory Keith Hastings

Mr. Gregory Keith Hastings, age 57, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Hastings was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton, AL. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, loved his dogs, daughters, and liked biking and Alabama football. He was a member of the Little Escambia Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Annise Hastings.
He is survived by his two daughters, Heather (Lucas) Chavers of Cantonment, FL and Daphne Hastings Ledkins of Flomaton, AL; three brothers, Donnie (Sandy) Hastings of Brewton, AL, Terry (Vivian) Hastings of Flomaton, AL and Jeff (Fonda) Hastings of Flomaton, AL; and five grandchildren, Ashton Gatwood, Jayden Ledkins, Jordan Ledkins, Claire Chavers and Hailey Chavers.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Headley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Green Acres Cemetery.

Rose Marion Findley, 83, went home to be with her Savior on Monday, August 27, 2018, in her home surrounded by family. She was born in Alabama but had lived in Pensacola, FL since the age of 7. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and a long time active member of Pinehaven Missionary Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Carrie Burkett; brothers, Joseph and Willie Burkett; sisters, Elizabeth McKown and Vernell Rowell; grandchild, Kristina Myers; and nieces, Donna Atkinson, Irma Jean Hudson and Sherri Jordan.
Survivors include her son, Henry “Paul” Findley of Foley, AL; daughter, Zeena E. Findley (Greg Beals) of Sweetwater, TN; sister, Ruth Elliott of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gage, Henry and Tyler Findley (twins), Erica, Terry, and Devin Myers; great-grandchildren, Paris Farmer, Hunter and Paisley Myers, Elaina Rose, and Nate Findley, all of whom she loved dearly; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Clopton Cemetery on Davis Hwy. Officiating pastors will be Bro. Jason Douglas and Bro. Jimmy Lancaster. The family is very grateful that Bro. Jimmy could come from MI. He was Rose’s Pastor for 26 years.

Hunter A. Paxson

Hunter A. Paxson, 19, of Eagle, NE passed away August 13, 2018. He was born September 5, 1998, in Pensacola, FL. He was a college student seeking a doctorate in Psychology. He also worked at GSK in Lincoln, NE. Hunter founded MFAB (Midwest Friends Against Bullying and to date has over 800 members). He worked with several Autism Societies, Anti Bullying Groups and spoke at numerous high schools across the midwest. He won state in competitive speech in Iowa in 2015 with his speech describing what it was like to live with autism. In addition, Hunter worked with the governors’ offices in both Iowa and Nebraska to write the current anti-bullying bill.
Family members include his beloved companion and pet “Puggy”; parents, Marcus and Jessica Peacock-Hellwege; brother and best friend, Bailey Paxson; sister, Christina Paxson; cousins, Kyle (Auriana) Peacock; Nana, Norma Peacock; Papa, James (Julie) Peacock; Grammy, Carol Paxson; grandfather, Ken (Billie) Paxson; great-grandmother, Mawmaw, Elaine Baggett; and Christopher Paxson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by Great-Granny and Papa Peacock; Great-Grandfather, Burl Milstead; Great-Grandmother, Blanche Prusha; and cousin, Tony Petersohn.
A memorial service will be held September 1, 2018, at 11 a.m at Harvest Christian Center, 1095 Muscogee Road in Cantonment, with pastor’s John Whitaker and Derek Lewis officiating.

Victoria June Roberts

Victoria June Roberts, 60, of Pensacola, Florida, was called Home by our Lord on August 21, 2018. She was born to Harmon Edwards and Beverly Reamer Watson on April 14, 1958, in Pensacola. Vicki was an extremely gracious woman, who was selfless and generous to all she knew. Her passion for helping others shown through wherever she went. Vicki was an army veteran who served honorably in Berlin in the early 1980’s. She then trained to become a registered nurse and began a career as a traveling nurse for a number of years, before settling down in Pensacola, where she worked at all of the major hospitals, specializing in OB/GYN and mother/baby units. An ardent volunteer, she especially loved participating in the annual Relay for Life. Vicki was a valued member of the Baptist Hospital nursing staff and was beloved by all her co-workers and treated them as her second family. Stoic in resolve, yet compassionate in her care giving, Vicki helped many a newborn baby into this world during her life. She had been recognized countless times, by patients, for her professional and loving care of both mother and child. She was ardently devoted to all of her family and especially daughter, Alhena and granddaughter, Emma Rose who were the lights of her life.
Survived to mourn her loss are her mother, Beverly Watson; husband, Donnie Roberts; daughter, Alhena Roberts; grandchild, Emma Rose Frantz, all of Pensacola; stepchildren, Erika Stewart (Matthew) of Indianapolis, IN, Evan Roberts (Meisha) of Bedford, IN, and Elli Roberts (Drew) of California, MD; sister, Jennifer Edwards and son, Austin of Orange Park, FL; brothers, David Edwards (Tami), and Chip Edwards of Pensacola. Her loss is also felt by niece, Tiffany Edwards; nephew, David Edwards Jr. of Pensacola; and her loving family at Baptist Hospital.
We need not weep for Vicki, for she is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. Although the pain we feel from losing such a genuinely kind woman will last forever, we should look back on the memories fondly and smile, for that is exactly what she would want us to do.
A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at Calvary Bible Fellowship, 10460 Motley Court, Pensacola, FL on September 15, 2018, at 2 p.m.

Wylonette “Lynn” Etheridge, age 74, a resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away peacefully with her family at her side Friday, August 24, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Etheridge was born July 16, 1944 in Canoe, AL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellie Monroe “Buck” Rowell, Janie E. Rowell; her brother, George Almas Rowell.
Mrs. Etheridge is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wenton “Bill” Etheridge of Saraland, AL; son, Paul Etheridge (Angie) of Saraland, AL; daughters, Kimberly Jones (Kerman), Amy Baxter (Franklin), both from Auburn, AL; nephew, George Rowell of Saraland; grandchildren, Nichole Dunklin (Michael), Wesley Etheridge (Gabby), Kalli Jones, Konnor Jones, Sidney Baxter, and Maggie Baxter; great-grandchildren, Seth Dunklin, Brianna Dunklin, Raelyn Dunklin, and Talitha Etheridge; siblings, Claudia Bradford, Ann James, Quinton Rowell, and Pauline Olson.

Paula D. Patterson Miller Smith

Paula D. Patterson Miller Smith, 69 years of age, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
Paula was born November 13, 1948, to Judy Strength and the late James Patterson. She was the twin sister of Pam Gale Patterson and had an older brother Doug Patterson and a younger brother Frank Smyer III.
Paula professed her life to Christ at an early age. She married the late Hubert E. Smith in July of 1993. The family initially lived in Pensacola, FL and later moved to Molino, FL. She was a member of Pine Summit Baptist Church. She loved doing the Lord’s work and she cherished and praised Him. She had a heart of gold and always enjoyed the fellowship with others. Paula loved praying for and with others, spending time with family and friends, and always wore a smile. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, sister, Nana and friend. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
Paula leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children, Sherry Sopina, Karla (Ben) Bowman, Doug (Renee) Miller; step-children, Cindy (Bill) Henderson and Michael Smith; grandchildren, Garrett (Pam) and Zachary (Kendall) Henderson, Nikki Smith, Shelby and Abi Sopina, Tripp and Brooke Bowman, Dawson and Avery Miller and Jase Peaden; great-grandchildren, Wheeler and Campbell Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

James Windham Norris, 83 of Atmore, AL, passed away August 24, 2018, in Atmore. He was born on November 1, 1934, in Atmore, AL. to the late Johnnie Ervin and Cassie Dean Hobbs Norris. He worked in sales with Alabama Power and R.P. McDavid Company. He was retired from the Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bobby Norris.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nan Reia Wise Norris of Atmore; three daughters Tina (Scott) Brooks of Atmore, AL, Rene` (Lamar) Godwin of Oak Grove, FL, and Michelle Norris of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Zachary Brooks, Norris (Rebecca) Brooks, Ethan (Katie) Brooks, Allie Brooks, Cassie (Stephan) Skelton and Olivia Godwin; great-grandchildren Riley Brooks, Wyatt Brooks, Blakely Skelton, Sanders Skelton and Evee June Miller.
