David Dewayne Barnett, 58 of Atmore, Al. passed away Sunday July 15, 2018, in Atmore. He was a Pharmacist with Walmart, a graduate of Auburn University, born in Atmore, AL. on January 21, 1960 to Kenneth and Nancy Jones Barnett. He attended Grace Fellowship.

He is preceded in death by His Father, Kenneth Barnett.

He is survived by his wife Denean Everette Barnett; mother Nancy Barnett, daughter Carson Barnett, brother Mike Barnett, sister Kim (Ron) Tatum all of Atmore, AL.

Graveside services will be Friday July 20, 2018, at 10 a.m. from Oak Hill Cemetery

Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Walter Clifford West

Walter Clifford West, 66, Floral City, FL passed away July 15, 2018 under the loving care of his wife and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Clifford was bon in Lancaster, PA on November 23, 1951 to Wilford and Rubie Smith West and moved to Citrus County from Wawbeek, AL and Bratt, Florida.. He retired from the Ridgway Roof Truss Company in Gainesville, FL as a truss designer. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Inverness where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and on the Board of Deacons. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Jean Skelton West; 2 children, Jeremy West and his wife Marnie, Rockford, IL; Juanita Sanders, Inverness; 2 brothers, Jeffrey West and his wife, Dee, Brooksville; Jay West and his wife, Cindy, Fairbanks, AK; 1 sister, Jeanie Love and her husband, David of Concord, NC; his parents, Wilford and Rubie West, both of Brooksville, FL; 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Vosburgh. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 18th at 12:00 Noon from the First Assembly of God Church of Inverness with Rev. Dairold Rushing officiating. Additional services will be conducted from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Atmore, AL. Saturday July 21, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Bratt- Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Florida. Family will receive friends, Saturday July 21, 2018 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 11:00AM until Service time at 12:00 Noon. Friends may call at the First Assembly of God Church from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted by the family for final expenses.

Glenn “Bama” Rolin

Glenn “Bama” Rolin, 55, of Baytown was born August 29, 1962, in Atmore, AL and passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, in a Houston hospital. He was a member of the I.U.O.E. Local # 450 and was of the Baptist faith. He was proud of his Native American Indian heritage and was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Glenn loved being with his family and friends and hosting crawfish boils and he was a prankster who loved to make people laugh. He was also an avid (some would say rabid) University of Alabama fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Lee Rolin and mother, Willie Lois Rolin. He is survived by his wife, Teri Rolin of Baytown; children, Kaitlyn Rolin of Baytown, Ryan Jordan and fiancé, Christa Taylor of Highlands, Sara Jordan and fiancé, Bryan Ralls of Highlands, Chris Rolin of Dickinson, and Jessica Rolin of San Leon; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Tammy Rolin and Tommy Rolin, all of Atmore, AL; granddaughter, Brinley Ralls; and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bubba Rolin officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 12:30 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Danny Malone, Robert Malone, Lamar Andrews, Kevin Rackard, Wayne Jackson and Rodney Rackard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Rolin and Bradley Rolin.

Kenneth “Kenny” Peterson

Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Peterson, age 60, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Jay, Florida.

Mr. Peterson was a native and life long resident of Bogia, Florida. He was a former employee at IGA & Piggly Wiggly at Century and worked at Bradley Masonry Company in Pensacola as a masonry. He was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Genie Peterson and two brothers.

He is survived by his four daughters, Wendy Armstrong of Michigan, Casey Rice of Century, FL, April White of Bratt, FL and Katie Jones of Tennessee; two brothers, Malcolm Peterson of Georgia and Terrell Peterson of Jay, FL; four sisters, Shirley Ingram of Bogia, FL, Glenda Kelley of Bogia, FL, Martha McCann of McDavid, FL and Edna Darby of McDavid, FL and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Logan Heath Barrett

Mr. Logan Heath Barrett, age 23, passed into Heaven on July 15th, 2018. Logan was born in Henderson, TX and resided in Atmore, AL. He was a 2013 graduate of Henderson High School and was a millwright for Swift Lumber Company in Atmore.

Logan is survived by his father abd mother, Larry and Paulette Barrett of Atmore; his brothers, Daniel and Carson Barrett of Atmore; grandparents, Lorita Ball of Atmore; Noah Paul and Gay Martin of Dekalb TX; Robert and Lucille Teel of Atmore, Aunt Jeanna Martin Smith of Omaha TX, niece Jade Barrett, nephew Brantley Barrett of Atmore, several cousins and an amazing group of very close personal friends.

Logan was a gentle giant. He was the light in the room. He cared deeply about his family & friends and never met a stranger. Logan lived life to the fullest. He worked hard and played harder. His passions included welding, racing, riding Harleys with his buddies, being with his friends, and spinning pretty ladies around a dance floor. He was the best at everything he did and was very loved by all who knew him.

Visitation will by Thursday, July 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Crawford A Crim Funeral Home in Henderson TX. Funeral services will be held at Bar None Cowboy Church in Tatum TX, Friday July 20, at 10 am.. Interment will follow at Ward’s Creek Cemetery in Simms, TX at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be his closest family and friends.

Richard Dale Wood

Mr. Richard Dale Wood, age 65 passed away on July 03, 2018 in Milton, Florida. Richard was born in Escambia County, Florida and resided in Milton, Florida.

Richard was born January 18, 1953, to the late Oscar and Bertha S Wood of Jay, Florida. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Dale Wood; and four brothers, Oscar Jr. Wood, Allen “AJ” Wood, Audrey G. Wood and James E. Wood.

Richard is survived by his sons, Richie Brian (Brandi) Wood of Milton, Florida, and Eric Shane (Kristina) Wood of Flomaton, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Leigh Ann, Montana, Leslie, Breonna, Hunter Wood and Joshua Gillis.  He also leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters Shirley (Douglas) Nelson of Century, Florida, and Polly (Keith) Garrison of Jay, Florida; and his brother, Jimmy (Glenda) Wood of Jay, Florida.

Richard was a loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Brother. He was loved by many and loved to spend time with his family and friends hunting, fishing and running dogs. He loved nothing better than to hear a dog hot on a deer or reeling in a big bass. He was retired from Santa Rosa County Road and Bridge crew after 38 years.

Visitation was Sunday, July 08, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida.  Funeral Services were Monday, July 09, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida; with Rev. Bobby Carnley and Clarence Carnley, officiating. Interment will follow at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery on Chumuckla Highway, in Jay, Florida.

Pallbearers will be Fred Williamson, William Dunsford, Joe Todd, William Inman, Allen Inman, Billy Williamson and Chris Wood.

Anthony Ual Murph

Anthony Ual Murph, 76 of McCullough, AL, passed away Thursday July 5, 2018, in Pensacola, FL. He was a farmer. He was born in Escambia County, AL on June 14, 1942, to the late Marvin Lee and Lynda Vonteen Ellison Murph.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Brenda Sharon Murph.

Survivors include his wife, of 53 years, Ann Levins Murph of McCullough, AL; two sons, Michael Murph of Bratt, FL and David Murph of McCullough, AL; two brothers, Gary (Bukie) Murph of Atmore, AL, and Gordon Murph of McCullough, AL; three sisters, Rhonda (Lee) Reynolds and Josalyn Barnett both of Atmore, AL and Kay (Pat) Mullen of Evergreen, AL; granddaughter, Amy Murph.

Services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from McCullough Christian Center with Bro. Cornelius Phillips officiating.

Interment was in McCullough Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideons International Atmore Camp, P.O. Box 556, Atmore, AL 36502.

Rebecca Ann Ray

Mrs. Rebecca Ann Ray, age 70, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, in Pensacola, Florida.

Mrs. Ray was a native of Andalusia, AL, former resident of Colquitt, GA and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 8 years. She was a member and treasurer of the Women Auxiliary VFW for eight years and DAV Bay Minette. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Henderson and sister, Lisa Coleman.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Ray of Atmore, AL; two sons, Eddie (Charlotte) Graves of Florala, AL and Christopher (Alice) Ray of Atmore, AL; one daughter, Melissa (Emory) Sapp of Colquitt, GA; one brother, Gary Henderson of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Angie Sanchez of Kansas City, MO, Julie Knurek of Tampa, FL and Nena Henderson of Andalusia, AL; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Kathleen Chavers officiating.

Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Emory Morrisett, Casey Givens, Christopher Simpson, Mike Chavers, Matthew Chavers and James Levon Boutwell III.

Lindy B. Phillips

Mr. Lindy B. Phillips, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, in Atmore, Alabama.

Mr. Phillips was a native and lifelong resident of Walnut Hill, FL. He retired from the Naval Air Station (Pensacola) as a sheet metal instructor. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the Alabama National Guard with 21 years of service. He was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marie Hubbird Phillips; parents, Dovie and Lillie Phillips; three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his four sons, Mike (Cathy) Phillips of Atmore, AL, Barry (Deborah) Phillips of Barrineau Park, FL, Dale (Perla) Phillips of Pensacola, FL and Tim (Anna) Phillips of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Ethel (Windell) Wilcox of Daphne, AL; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Bridges and Rev. James Boyd officiating.

Burial will follow at the Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 1 p.m. until service time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Alverez, Cody Phillips, Raymond Kimmons, Brandon Phillips, Tim Gibbs and Dalton Cumings.

Lillie M. Moloney

July 14, 2018

Lillie M. Moloney, 94, of Cantonment passed peacefully at home, into the Hands of the Lord, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.

She was an active member of the Catholic Church and a lay Franciscan for 55 years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert of 51 years, who passed in 1996.

Survivors include daughters, Dorothy (Charles) Perry of Cantonment and Karen (Hardy) Thomas of Tulsa, OK; sons, Paul (Rosa) Moloney of Ft. Worth, TX and Michael (Laura) Moloney of Cooper City, FL; nine wonderful grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Crabtree of Raleigh, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Cantonment on Saturday, July 14, 2018 with rosary recited before the Mass.

Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday, July 16, 2018.

The family would like to send a special thanks to all those from Covenant House Hospice and Primary Care House Calls who assisted with Lillie during the last few weeks.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Contingency Fund or to the St. Damien Society.
