Rachel M. Stokes

Mrs. Rachel M. Stokes, age 83, a resident of LaFayette, Indiana formerly of Oak Grove, Florida went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2018. Mrs. Stokes was born June 23, 1935.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Jay Chapel ( 3853 Hwy. 4 Jay, Florida 32565). The family will receive friends at Jay Chapel on hour prior to services. Brother James Jones will officiate.

Mrs. Rachel Stokes is survived by her son, Bobby Mixon, and daughter-in-law, Sue Mixon of LaFayette, Indiana; one granddaughter, Connie Mixon and her husband, Matthew Brook; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Brook, Kylie Adams (Austin Adams), and Gracen Brook. Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Katie Stokes and a brother, Clarence Stokes. Mrs. Stokes was an active member of the Apostolic Tabernacle in LaFayette, Indiana. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support of family and friends; also her church family and the care she received from the many staff members of Milner Community Health Care of Rossville, Indiana.

Jacquelyn Ann Mosley Story

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Ann (Mosley) Story, 74, of Cantonment, Florida became absent from her body and present with her Lord November 8, 2018, with her children by her bedside.

Jacquelyn was the widow of Allen G. Story of Livermore, Kentucky. They shared 46 years of marriage together and had two children. Jacquelyn lived graciously and courageously with pancreatic cancer for almost two years. Born in Century, Florida, Jacquelyn was the daughter of Jack Mosley and Doris Hancock. She grew up on her family farm in Tullahoma, Tennessee before moving to Pensacola, Florida at the age of 12. Jacquelyn graduated from Escambia High School, the Class of 1960. Jacquelyn was dedicated to working and volunteering in the community. Jacquelyn retired from Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union as Vice President of Operations in 1995. Along with Allen, she volunteered with the Pioneers (BellSouth retirees) Hug-A-Bear program making stuffed bears for children hospitals and pediatric ambulatory rides. She spent countless hours visiting, helping and bringing a smile to residents at Health Center of Pensacola. Everything she did was done with a servant’s heart and the “Golden Rule”, “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.” Matthew 7:12.

Jacquelyn was an active member of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida and a member of the Grace Ladies Class where she served as a care group leader. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing canasta and bunco with friends, and sitting on her porch reading her Bible. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was over a home cooked meal, watching a ball game together, celebrating the holidays or just dropping by. Jacquelyn will be remembered not only for her selfless acts of kindness, but for her witness to others about her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen G. Story; her parents, Jack Mosley and Doris Hancock.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ralph (Debra) Story; daughter, Dolores (Johnathan) Taylor; grandchildren, Rodney Story, Kasey (John) Saenz, Brandon, Micah and Seth Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hannah Story and Ava Saenz; uncles, William (Pennie) Mosley, Gordon (Juanita) Howell and many cousins, in-laws and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tammy Pruse, Lisa Potus, PA, at Moffitt Cancer Center, Dr. Thomas Sunnenberg, Dr. James Watkins and staff, Sacred Heart Cancer Center nurses, and Covenant Hospice for the care they provided.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 12, 2018, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor John Lowe officiating.

Burial was at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. The family has designated Compassion International Sewing Ministry ( www.compassion.jacquelynstory ) and Pan Can ( www.pancan.org ) for memorial contributions in her honor.

Alyce Eleanor Regan Hastings

Alyce Eleanor Regan Hastings passed away on October 25, 2018. She is a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania and traveled the country both as a military spouse and in retirement with her husband, Joe. Her motto was “bloom where planted”
and so she did, in Texas, California, Arkansas, Alabama, New Mexico and Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Alyce had a contagious laugh that would fill the room with joy. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and the good in people, always looking for the best in both, and reminding her loved ones to do the same. Alyce was a voracious reader and passed on her love of reading to her children, grandchildren and those she mentored.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Hastings; seven children; Larry (Loretta) Hastings, Mary (Ira) Rothman, Bill (Jane) Hastings, Alyce Hastings, Ellen Hastings, Joe (Beth) Hastings, and Karen (Charlie) Robinson; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her family is very appreciative of the care and compassion shown to her by the staff at The Veranda and Covenant Hospice.

Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel South on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 5:30- 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Belleview on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Mary Lee Parker Mullins

Mrs. Mary Lee Parker Mullins, age 85, of Century, FL, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Century Health & Rehabilitation Center in Century, FL.

Mrs. Mullins was born in Freemanville, AL, and was a member of the Century community for 57 years coming from McCullough, AL.  She was retired from the Century Memorial Hospital Dietary Department where she worked for fifteen years.  Mrs. Mullins was a member of Century First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Ray Mullins; son, Donnie Ray Mullins, Sr.; son-in-law, John William Collins; her parents and six siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Collins of Flomaton AL, and Laura (William) Chancery of McDavid, FL; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 1 P.M. until a 2 P.M. service time with Rev. William Chancery officiating.

Interment will be in Flomaton Cemetery, Flomaton, AL.

Linda Gale Weaver

Mrs. Linda Gale Weaver, age 56, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at her home in Perdido, Alabama.

Mrs. Weaver was a native of Atmore, AL and had resided in Perdido, AL since 1994. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and worked with the tribe for 34 years. She was of the Holiness Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Weaver; father, Carl Ben Adams; grandmother, Linnie Presley Hayes; grandfather, Billy Hayes; and two brothers, William Carl Adams and Michael Wayne Adams.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Milstid of Atmore, AL; one daughter, Suzanna (Tim) Coleman of Perdido, AL; one step-son, Kevin Weaver of Robertsdale, AL; one brother, David E. (Marissa) Adams of Atmore, AL; four sisters, Brenda (John) Stephens of Uriah, AL, Linda (Travis) Hall of Frisco City, AL, Debora Helton of Atmore, AL and Michelle Milstid of Perdido, AL; 11 grandchildren, Dakota Lambeth, Tyler Lambeth, Nicholas Lambeth, Bret Lambeth, Waylon Bryars, Laci Gail Lambeth, Danelle Coleman, Catherine Coleman, Jessica Ketcherside, Braxton Weaver and Makayla Weaver; and four great-grandchildren, Cadence Ray, Joanie Ketcherside, Jaymie Ketcherside, and Savannah Grace Lambeth (unborn).

Funeral services were held Friday, November 9, 2018, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Hadley and Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.

Burial was at the Lottie Methodist Cemetery.

Copeland Ebenezer Crisson, Sr.

Copeland Ebenezer Crisson, Sr “Criss”, 89, born February 20, 1929, to William Henry Crisson, Sr and Mary Lillian Astwood Crisson, passed away peacefully at home November 8, 2018, after a brief illness. Criss was a retired pipe fitter and more recently car shuttler at Pensacola International Airport for Avis-Budget Rental Car. He was a devout Christian and long-term member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church and Choir, Golden Echos and 4 His Glory.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jannie, and infant son, Henry Winford.

He is survived by his brother, Edwin (Anita) Crisson; children, Susan (Stuart) Diamond, Flora Lea (Gerald) Cofield, Copeland Ebenezer (Pamela) Crisson, Jr, Sharon (Felipe) Crisson-Gandarilla, Mary Crisson and David (Jennifer) Crisson; grandchildren, Deedra Lea (Wesley) Richerson, Duane Diamond, April (Brandon) Reeves, Dustin (Frances) Diamond, Drew (Hannah) Diamond, Copeland Ebenezer (Amy) Crisson, III, Oliver (Megan) Crisson, Dillon W Diamond, Lindsey Wills-Vertz, Lauryn (Brianna) Crisson, Jesse Drain, Evan Crisson, Kori Vertz, Itzel Gandarilla, Ty Vertz and Leah Gandarilla; and great-grandchildren, Abby Richerson, Adan Diamond, Landon Reeves, Dillon Diamond, Eli Diamond, Zeke Crisson, Jude Crisson and Mackenzie Crisson.

Pastor Alan Thompson, 44, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home in Cantonment, Florida.

Mr. Thompson was a native of Tampa, Florida and had resided in Cantonment, FL for the past 8 years. He was a loving husband, father, son and an avid Gator Fan. Early on Minister of Youth and Music, sang with the Dixie Echos and was a Youth Evangelist.

He is survived by his parents, Bro Tom and Kathy Thompson of Pensacola, FL; wife of 24 years, Angela Thompson of Cantonment, FL; one son, Thomas Cameron Thompson of Cantonment, FL; one daughter, Ashleigh Michelle Thompson of Cantonment, FL; two brothers, William Edward Thompson of Orlando, FL and William O. Thompson of Pensacola, FL and two sisters, Hope Elisabeth Thompson of Tampa, FL and Ruth Alice Thompson Greene of Pensacola, FL.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Enon Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Thompson and Bro. Bill Owen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Enon Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1:30 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at the Enon Baptist Church.

Eric Kinnaman

November 6, 2018

Eric Kinnaman, 57, passed on Novenber 5, 2018, at his home in Pace, Florida. He was born January 27, 1961, in Logansport, IN.

Eric was a 1979 Logansport High School graduate. He was a three sport athlete and the starting shortstop on the 1977 and 1979 State Championship LHS Baseball teams. He was named an Indiana Baseball All Star. He played baseball at Columbia Jr. College in Tennessee before going to the Memphis State University Tigers Baseball program for two seasons. Eric was employed with FedEx for 34 years.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Sue Kinnaman.

Eric is survived by his wife, Andrea (married 1995); daughter, Erica (Cody); step-son, Cory (Katie); Andrea’s parents, Jerry and Dana Alford of LaGrange, Georgia; Andrea’s brother, Todd (Tammy) of Brighton, TN; father, James Kinnaman (Sue); two brothers, Ron (Mendie) of Logansport, IN and Brian (Linda) of Middlesboro, Kentucky; nephews, Connor and Cooper Kinnaman and Matt Alford; nieces, Brittany, Paige and Jacqueline Kinnaman and Michelle Amacker (George) of Aurora, Colorado.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Eric in Pensacola, FL at a yet to be named date.

Martha Ann Ziglar Dunn

November 6, 2018

Martha Ann Ziglar Dunn, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin and friend, passed away on November 2, 2018, at age 85.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Euna Ziglar; sister, Mandie Ziglar; and husband, Wyman Dunn.

She is survived by her son, Larry Dunn (Wanda) of Troy, Alabama; daughter, Elaine Dunn Ball (Robbie) of Cantonment; grandchildren, Mark Dunn, Rachel Dunn, Heather Ball, Charlie Ball (Robin); great-grandchildren, Belle Fehr, Tyler Dunn, Jacob Dunn, Noah Dunn; and so many wonderful cousins.

Martha Ann was born in Ozark, AL, on February 3, 1933. Raised as an only child in the country, she grew up loving her cousins, cats and dogs. She married Wyman at age 17 and celebrated 62 years together before he passed away in 2013. They moved to Pensacola, FL in 1954 when Wyman started working at Chemstrand. Although she had several jobs in the early years, her job as mother was most important. Later she worked at Gerald Newman State Farm Agency for 30 years, eventually becoming the office manager. Martha Ann loved to help people and get to know them in the process. She had a great love for her Savior and her church family. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 60 years and was an active servant for most of those years. Martha Ann had an intense love for animals, rescuing many that were in her path and loving all that she saw. She loved nothing more than taking a trip and loading up as many family members as could go. Martha Ann was always ready for a party and happy to host or help, there was always room at her table for one more chair. Martha Ann loved her family fiercely and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service at Faith Chapel North was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Burial will be at Sandfield Cemetery in Troy, AL.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, the Sandfield Cemetery Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Robert Gonzalez

Robert (Bob) Gonzalez, 66, of Cantonment, FL, passed away on October 31, 2018, surrounded by those who he loved the most. Bob bravely fought a battle with cancer and he now walks whole again with our Lord and Savior.

Bob served in the Army and retired from the Alabama Air National Guard after 22 years of service in the military. He was a crew chief on the KC-135 Air refueling planes. He served in the Kosovo conflict, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He also worked on the International Space Station at Redstone Arsenal. Most recently, Bob provided upkeep and maintenance at Grandview Assisted Living which he most enjoyed. He was dearly loved by the residents who voted him employee of the month. His charm and quick wit brought them joy on the most difficult days.

Bob will be most remembered for his love of people. He made his home welcome to all as he watched NASCAR, cheered for Alabama or listened to classic country. Bob was an avid golfer who also loved hunting and fishing. He never missed a moment for a punch line or an opportunity for a high-five. Bob was a friend to everyone that stepped onto his back porch.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Myrtle Redd Gonzalez; his siblings, Glenna, Burrll, Ann and Larry; and his grandchild, Brody.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah (Debbie) Vinson Gonzalez; his son, Steve Gonzalez (Heather); his stepsons whom he loved as his own, Ricky Eggart, Steve Eggart (Laura) and Billy Eggart (Betsy); his nine grandchildren who called him “Pap Pap,” Cale, Lola, Bella, Jackson, Della, Marshall, Lilly, Emma and Jacob; his nephew, Tommy Gonzalez; his nieces, Patty Blaydes and Tammy Longen; his brother-in-law, Jim Divens; and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Brother Dale Patterson, a long time pastor and friend of the family, will be officiating.

Cremation will be handled by Faith Chapel Funeral Home and a private service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.

In the words of his beloved wife, Debbie, “His magnetic personality attracted everyone to his circle. He loved people and delighted in surrounding himself with a crowd. You could not be around Bob without participating in the fun. He will be remembered forever with love and with a smile by his family and friends.”
