John Lockhart Holleman

John Lockhart Holleman passed away, Sunday, August 11, 2019, after a short illness and fall. Mr. Holleman was born to John Holleman Sr. and Ena Ruth Holleman in Lafayette, Georgia. He lived in various cities and towns across the Southeast including four years in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He married Peggy Morris Holleman in Lafayette, Georgia and raised three children. John worked in various roles in the textile and carpet industry, including taking a Plant Manager role in Canada where he took his family for four years. He later in life ran a convenience store in Atmore, Alabama, and eventually built his own Texaco Truck stop on I-65. John loved his Scottish Terriers who were always close by when he was at his home in Atmore.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his three children, sons, Douglas (Cyndi) Holleman and Bryan Holleman, and daughter, Mary Jane Farmer, along with numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Hospice Foundation, 655 Brawley School Rd, Suite 200, Mooresville, NC 28117.

Autry Clyde Conway

Autry Clyde Conway, 82 of Bay Minette, AL, passed away August 16, 2019, in Mobile, AL. He was born in Mobile on May 5, 1937, to the late Clyde L. and Evelyn Buck Conway. He served in the Alabama Army National Guard, was a retired machinist from Kaiser Aluminum and an avid Alabama fan. He was a member of the Bay Minette Lodge #498 F&AM and served with the Bay Minette Police Department Auxiliary. He was a devoted Christian, a member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pam Conway; and two brothers, Johnny and Lonnie Conway.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Arrington Conway of Bay Minette, AL, three sons, Tony (Susan) Conway of Bay Minette, AL, Joseph (Gina) Conway of Richland, MS and Ben Conway of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Wendy (Bob) Davis of Bay Minette, AL; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Southside Baptist Church in Bay Minette, AL with Dr. Larry Patterson and Bro. Jason Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Conway, Brandon Conway, Matt Conway, Caleb Conway, James Conway and Brian White.
Honorary pallbearer will be John Rouse.

Onie Jean Stuckey Graham

Onie Jean Stuckey Graham, 88, of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 8, 1931, in Atmore, Alabama. She was retired from numerous positions she held throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years,Alton (Pee Wee) Graham; her son, Bruce O’Neil Graham; her parents, George Leroy and Jesse Grey Stuckey; and two sisters, Bessie and Opal.
She is survived by her children, Wendell Stephen Graham of Pensacola, FL, Janet Lynn Graham of Pensacola, FL and Debra Hurst of Alexandria, VA.; daughter-in-law, Joy Findley; four grandchildren, AJ Graham, Troy (April) Graham, Whitney Wyatt and Christopher Clark and three great grandchildren, Colby Graham, Daniel Graham and Colby Wyatt; two sisters, Lee Brannen of Panama City, FL and Oleta (Bob) Baker of Shreveport, LA.; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019, with visitation from 3:00 – 4:00 pm and service at 4:00 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504 with Kenneth Bullard officiating.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Clara Bullard and Covenant Hospice for the excellent care given to our mother during her illness.
Norma Jean Gilmore Wilson

Norma Jean Gilmore Wilson
The world lost the sweetest, most beautiful woman on August 12, 2019 and heaven gained a wonderful angel. Norma Gilmore Wilson was born on February 3, 1931 in Munson, Florida to the late Noah Gillis Paulk and Virginia Alice Peaden Paulk. She was a devout Christian and lived her life for the Lord. She was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church (since 1964) and truly loved her church family. She loved people and never met a stranger. Norma Jean was a member of the Holiday Rambler RV club and enjoyed traveling. Norma Jean and first husband James Gilmore together founded Gilmore Moving and Storage Company. She was never seen without a smile and was loved by everyone that met her. She will truly be missed by her family and those that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Gilmore and Joseph L. Hubbird; parents; brothers, Willie D. Paulk and Gillis Paulk; sisters, Lillie Belle Gilmore and Mildred Stokes; and granddaughter, Rebecca June Smithee.
Norma Jean leaves behind her loving husband, James C. Wilson; brother, Jack Paulk; three beautiful children, Belinda G. (Steve) Hernandez, Ronnie (Debbie) Gilmore, and Karen G. (Richard) Schrock; seven grandchildren, Jaime Moreau, Shane Schrock, Steven Hernandez, II, Marc (Nikki) Hernandez, Scott (Audrey) Hernandez, Lucas (Holly) Gilmore, and Jacob (Carla) Gilmore; seventeen great grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Pat Mobley and Bro. Lee Carnley officiating. The family will receives friends 10:00 a.m. prior to services.
Burial will be held in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

Joan Beatrice Simonds

Mrs. Joan Beatrice Simonds, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019, in Atmore, Alabama.
Mrs. Simonds was a native and former resident of Washington, D.C., former resident of Ocala, FL and had resided in Flomaton, AL for the past 3 ½ years. She was career Army serving in the Vietnam Conflict, Desert Shield and Desert Storm, retiring as a chief Warrant Officer (CW04) with over 30 years of service. She was the Catholic Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mazie Elizabeth Canter and husband, Robert L. Simonds.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Simonds of Florida; one nephew, Eric Bryant of Ft. Payne, AL; two nieces, Pamela (Jeff) Shrewsbury of Flomaton, AL and Lisa Godwin of Damascus, AL and one sister, Mazie Bryant of Ft. Payne, AL.
Memorial services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
Ronald Phillip Roulier

Ronald Phillip Roulier, age 84, of Cantonment, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2019, surrounded by his family. Ron was born on October 23, 1934, in Salem, MA to the late Bernard and Cecile Jean Roulier. He joined the Navy in 1952, and served during the Korean War. Throughout his life he owned a pool business, several restaurants, worked as a machinist, and finished his work career aboard NAS Pensacola working in Public Works.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Connie, and a brother Paul Roulier.
He is survived by his children, Jeanne Marie Cook, Patricia Roulier, Lisa Wiktorek (Brian), Anna Bell, and Philip Bell; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Phillip Roulier, numerous nieces and nephews; and several foster children that he and Connie helped raise.
A memorial service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. with Brother Nathan Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ray’s Chapel Building Fund, 140 W Bogia Rd. McDavid, FL 32568.
Richard James Barta

Richard James Barta, 73, passed away on August 3, 2019. He was born on November 15, 1945, in LaGrange, TX to Gladys and Ladik Barta, both deceased.
He was raised in Houston, TX. He married his loving wife, Brenda, on March 26, 1983. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Barta, and they just celebrated 36 years of marriage this year. He is also survived by his son, Jonathan Barta (wife, Donna) and their children, Jonathan Jr. and Jacob Barta of Cabot, Arkansas. He is also survived by his stepson, Ryan Prasek and his children, Trenton and Tanner Prasek along with his stepdaughter, Nicole Burkhalter (husband, Nick) and their children, Braden and Bree Burkhalter of Pensacola, FL.
He began his long career in the bag business in Houston at Bemis Company. He then went to St. Regis in Houston as a customer service manager and was soon transferred to Pensacola, FL in 1992. From there he transitioned to Smurfit Stone Container then the company name changed to Graphic Packaging where he retired from. He loved golfing, fishing, and working out in his yard. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He always enjoyed attending every function involving his kids and grandkids. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Duane Myers Sunday School Class.
Since there will be no graveside service, the family requests in lieu of flowers to make a donation in his memory to The American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or any charity of your choosing.
Funeral services were held at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home on Friday, August 9, 2019.
The service was officiated by Reverend Theodore Bowne.
Nanella L. Marsh

Nanella L. “Nell” Marsh, 87 of Atmore, AL, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in Atmore, AL. She was a homemaker. She was born in Canoe, AL on June 25, 1932, to the late Walter F. and Lila Black Lowrey.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles A. Marsh; brothers, Eugene Lowrey, DeWitt Lowrey, Luther Glen Lowrey.
Survivors include her two sons, Frankie (Tina) Marsh of Oak Grove, FL; Roger Marsh of Atmore, AL; grandchildren, Crystal (Kyle) Bazzelle, Justin (Brooke) Marsh, Morgan (Eric) Roberts; and seven great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kyla, Christian, Parker, Peyton, Ella, and Reid.
Graveside services were held Friday, August 9, 2019, at Canoe Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating.
Active pallbearers were Buddy Lowrey, Gene Lowrey, Cole Lowrey, Kyle Bazzelle, Eric Roberts and Justin Marsh.

Dennis Cooper, 63, passed away July 30, 2019. He was a native of Cantonment, Florida. An avid hunter and fisherman, Dennis loved to be outdoors. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved a good laugh.
A loving and devoted father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Dennis is survived by his wife, Debby; daughters, Emilie and Elizabeth; and a sister, Nancy Ismail.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Gary; sisters, Jean and Linda; and his parents, Rudolph and Mabel Cooper.
Funeral services were held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.

Stacey Edward Colter, age 45, of Flomaton, AL passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Colter was born in McRae, GA, and had resided in Flomaton since 2008 coming from Tifton, GA. During his working years he worked as a carpenter in the home building industry. He loved to garden, Alabama and Georgia football, and hanging out with all his buddies. He was a talented musician playing the drums and guitar and singing. He especially enjoyed his time with his son. Mr. Colter was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Colter Golden of Picayune, MS; wife, Heather Davis of Flomaton, AL; son, Jack Clifton of Flomaton, AL; daughters, Brianna Colter of Flomaton, AL, Hannah Davis of Alamo, GA, Madison Harris of Lumber City, GA, brothers, Jamie Rivera of Mobile, AL, Josh Dyal of Georgia; sisters, Jodie Dunn of Picayune, MS, Chrissy Dyal of Hazlehurst, GA, Amanda Gonzales of Douglas, GA, Stephanie Dyal of Hazlehurst, GA; grandchildren, Bella and Jaxson.
