Richard Dewayne ‘Ricky’ Davis

Mr. Richard Dewayne ‘Ricky’ Davis, age 61 of Century, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital from injuries he sustained in a car accident.

Ricky was born in Pensacola, FL, but lived most of his life in Century, FL where he attended Abundant Life Church in Century and considered it his church. He enjoyed fishing for bluegills, was a self-employed painter, and a proud tattoo artist. Ricky did what he wanted to do. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted T. and Bernestine Holland Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Davis of Bratt, FL; daughters, Ashley (Chris) Johnson of Montgomery, AL, Becky Adkins of Atmore, AL, Machalle Adkins of Atmore, AL; siblings, Susie (Shane) Adams of Flomaton, AL, Skinny (Jimmy) Morris 0f Byrneville, FL, Rocky (Brenda) Davis of Lafayette, AL, Pat (Sherman) Glover of Byrneville, FL, Betty (Walter) Porz of Byrneville, FL, Mary Carroll of Michigan, Jim (Patti) Wolters of Atlanta, GA, Reggie (Susie) Palmer of Mississippi; one grandchild, Rose Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Flomaton Funeral Home at 1 P.M.

Interment will follow in Christian Home Cemetery.

Julius B. Darby, 79, of Cantonment, FL passed away on January 14, 2020.

Mr. Darby was born on February 10, 1940 in McCullough, AL to Willis Bradford and Bonnie Lou Darby. He was a long-time and active member of Community of Christ Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family.

Julius is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nell Elizabeth Darby; son, Doug Darby (Linda); daughter, Jennifer Jeffords (Lee); siblings, Wynette Chandler, Lois Darby, and Carlos Darby; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Godwin and Hannah Darby; 2 great grandchildren, Colby Darby and Ivy Godwin, along with several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. located at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL.

An interment will follow the funeral service at Berrydale Crossroads Cemetery in Milton, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Center of Pensacola. Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ronald C. Constance

Lieutenant Colonel Ronald C. Constance of Cantonment, Florida passed away on January 14, 2020 after a hard battle with cancer.

Ron was a proud Marine who served his country for 32 years. He was a great husband, Father, Papa, and friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; his children, Kristy, Ronnie (Bob), Connie, and Randy; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Jacquline, Joshua, Rylee, Landon, Kali, Lilly, Mason, and Kelcie; and two sisters, Lauri
Constance and Corrine Constance.

Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Alan Haas officiating. Inurnment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2 PM to 4 PM at the funeral home.

Earlene Killam Hayles

Mrs. Earlene Killam Hayles, age 90, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Century, Florida.

Mrs. Hayles was a native of Byrneville, FL and resided in Lottie, AL since 1954. She was founder of the “Lottie Quilting Club”, worked in the cafeteria of Perdido School and owned a catering business. She attended the Lottie Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Calvin Hayles; son, Bubba Hayles and one brother, Edgar Killam.

She is survived by one son, Keith (Kathy) Hayles of Lottie, AL; one daughter, Betty Lynn (David) Corley of Lottie, AL; one brother, John Elton Killam of Byrneville, FL; one sister, Evelyn Killam of Byrneville, FL; four grandchildren, Justin Hayles, Jerrod (Emily) Hayles, Riley Waltman and Blane Waltman and two great grandchildren, Keaton Waltman and Chevelle Waltman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Judd Coghin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lottie Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:30 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Clarence Edwin “Ed” Horne, Jr.

Clarence Edwin “Ed” Horne, Jr. , of McDavid, Florida, passed away on January 13, 2020 in an inpatient Covenant Hospice facility in Pensacola, Florida.

He was born on March 9, 1941 in Enon Community in Pike County, Alabama. Ed graduated from Baker Hill High School in Alabama and attended Troy State University.

One of Ed’s greatest loves in life was his Appaloosas. Nothing was more rewarding to him than showing these horses. This love gave the following quote new meaning – “There’s something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.”

Ed retired from Monsanto in Gonzalez, Florida after 35 years of service, where he worked as an engineering technician in Research and Development.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, C.E. Horne, Sr. and Dorothy Haisten Horne, brother-in-law Rothel Griffin and sister-in-law Jane McCurdy. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Edythe McCurdy Horne, daughters Denise Allain and Lynn Horne (Norman), son Dennis Horne, sisters Elizabeth Griffin and Elaine Sammons (Tommy), three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Joshua Greenwell, Jeremy Greenwell, Ashley Griffin, Art Sammons, Bert Sammons, and Tim Thomas with Norman McIntosh as honorary pallbearer.

Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a visitation at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 12:00-2:00PM. Graveside service will follow at 2PM with Chaplin Jason Adams officiating.

Phillip Daryl Williams

Mr. Phillip Daryl Williams, age 65, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020, at his home in Nokomis, Alabama.

Mr. Williams was a native of Atmore, AL and had resided in Nokomis, AL for most of his life. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran with the US Marine Corp and the Alabama Army National Guard. He worked at Pensacola NAS with over 30 years of service, with many good friends. He was an outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter, scuba diver, loved to swim with his grandkids and was a member of the Nokomis Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Geraldine Williams.

He is survived by wife of 38 years, Kay Charmaine Williams of Nokomis, AL; three sons, Sean (Venetia) Corbitt of Phillipsville, AL, Christopher (Jessica) Corbitt of Rabun, AL and Heath (Ashlee) Williams of Nokomis, AL; one daughter, Charmaine (David) Paul of Nokomis, AL; one brother, Frank H. (Jimmie) Williams of Atmore, AL; two sisters, Sandra (Donald) Lambert of Nokomis, FL and Debbie (Ricky) Fore of Nokomis, AL; and eight grandchildren, Dylan Brunson, Justin Brunson, Braylon Corbitt, Brant Williams, Madison Williams, Mason Williams, Elin Paul and Everleigh Paul.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., at the Nokomis Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hill and Bro. Dennis Daniel officiating.

Burial will follow at the Nokomis Baptist Cemetery.

Gene M. Liddell passed away at the age of 72, on January 8, 2020. Gene was born on February 24, 1947, to Maurice and Elfrida Liddell in Chippewa Falls, WI. He served our country in the United States Army. Gene worked as an airplane mechanic in the military. After the military, he worked as truck driver and auto/boat mechanic. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.=

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Maurice Liddell; mother, Elfrida Nazer Liddell; and sister, Beverly Way.

Gene is survived by his wife, Elelida Liddell; son, Stan Liddell; daughter, Emeline Liddell; brothers, David Dawson, Don Liddell and Paul Liddell; and sisters, Betty Bown and Diane Bickel.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 12:30 p.m., at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Stanley Keith Pope, Sr.

Mr. Stanley Keith Pope, Sr., age 66, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020, at his home in McCullough, Alabama.

Mr. Pope was a native of Pensacola, FL, former resident of Canoe, AL and had resided in McCullough, AL for the past 21 years. He was owner of S&S Farm Services and former mechanic at Roger’s Tractor Company of Atmore, AL (he was one of the finest mechanics known in Atmore, AL). He was known as a good man, who smiled all the time. He loved God, his family and was a member of the Healing Waters Church, where he served as an Elder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arngie and Ruby Lee Hinson Pope and sister, Betsy June Pope Tyree.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Eugenia Hanks Pope of McCullough, AL; two sons, Stanley Keith (Kandy) Pope, Jr. of Nokomis, FL and Matthew Mason Dodge of McCullough, AL; one daughter, Stephanie Grey (Terrell, Sr.) Still of McCullough, AL; three brothers, Arngie (Alieen) Pope, Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Jerry (Susan) Pope of Tennessee and Rusty (Sondra) Pope of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Julie (Mike) Winchell of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Olivia Hope Dodge, Luke Edward Still, Shyla Pope, Aaliyah Pope and Samantha Pope and numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel with Pastor Richard Daniels officiating.

Judy Weekley Pierce “Becky”, 67 of Cantonment, Florida, passed away on her birthday, January 8, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.

Becky was born in Pensacola, Florida, where she was the light in the world for many people. Her soft southern twang, vibrant smile and genuine love for others is why she was cherished by all. She was a loving daughter, mother, memal and “Aunt Becky” to many. She loved holidays, family traditions and her beloved dog, Kitty.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Reece Gore and Voncile Deshazo Gore; her brother, Mike Gore; and her husband, Glen Pierce.

Becky is survived by her sisters, Cathy Chalk and Clarise Trump; her daughters, Kimberly Weekley Polk and Kerry Weekley; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is loved by all of her family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Reverend Bill Flannigan officiating.
