Mr. Thomas Douglas Adams, age 81, of Century, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Adams was born in Bluff Springs, FL, and had been a lifelong resident of the Century community. After he served in the United States Air Force, he worked for 40 years in the paper manufacturing industry in Cantonment, FL. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and vegetable gardening, especially growing tomatoes. Mr. Adams attended Poplar Dell Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Adams and Mary Jane Walker Adams DeWitt, and brother, George Melvin Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan Adams of Century, FL; son, David Adams of Flomaton, AL; daughters, Alicia (Marty) Chavers of Denver, CO, and Marialena (Carl) Godwin, Jr. of Century FL; sisters, Virginia Jernigan of Bay Minette, AL, Martha (Wayne) DeWitt of Tallahassee, FL, Susan (Paul) Tonder of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie (Xzavier) Taylor of Century, FL, Blake (Kim) Wiggins of Century, FL, Ethan Chavers of Sevierville, TN, Evan (Tinsley) Chavers of Mobile, AL, Sydney Chavers of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Madyson Wiggins and Eastyn Wiggins; many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Poplar Dell Baptist Church on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9 A.M. until a 10 A.M. service time with Rev Mitch Herring officiating.
Interment will be in Poplar Dell Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors present.
Pallbearers will be Blake Wiggins, Ethan Chavers, Evan Chavers, Xzavier Taylor, Timothy Sapp, Steven DeWitt.
Honorary pallbearer will be Eastyn Wiggins.
Flowers are being accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Poplar Dell Baptist Church.
The family is requesting that attendees please follow all social distancing guidelines.
Charles David Allen

Mr. Charles David Allen, Age 80, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at his Castleberry, AL residence.
Mr. Allen was a lifelong resident of Brewton. He was a member of the W.S. Neal High School Class of 1958. He retired after a number of years of service from Conecuh Sausage. He enjoyed his cows, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, video games, and fishing. He attended Castleberry Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Allen of Castleberry, AL; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles David Allen, Jr. and Jeana of Castleberry; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Tom Gulsby of Foley, AL and Cynthia Diane and Dempsey Kennedy of Castleberry; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kristin and Trenton Bell, and Logan and Ashlyn Allen; step-grandchildren, Paul, Amelia, Shaina, Justin, Matt, Anna, and Arthur; and his “fur baby” Bear.
A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 10 a.m. with Bro Bob Godbee officiating.
Jack C. Allen

Jack C. Allen left this earth and walked into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. He was born on May 20, 1936 in Mobile, AL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Kathleen Allen; brother, Edmund Hare; sister Lois Busey; and his loving son Randy.
He is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 62 years, Mary (Adams) Allen; their children, Karen (Gerald) Campbell, Brenda (Joey) Kite, and Mike (Melissa) Allen; his brother, Thomas (Carolyn) Allen; sisters, Thelma Patrick and Nancy Kozbiel; grandchildren, Sarah (Tyler) Windham, Erica (Jonathon) Green, Nick Allen, Alex Boutwell, Annabelle Nata, and Kristina (Trey) Bovia; great-grandchildren, Bryson Windham, Logan Windham, Barry Allen, Ethan Green, Roxy Bovia, Londyn Bovia, and Blaze Bovia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956, serving 20 years and retiring in 1976. He then worked as an instructor for the school of radiology at West Florida Hospital for several years. He was also a substitute school teacher in Escambia County for many years. He was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church for over 25 years. His true love and passion was serving as a volunteer in the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry for over 20 years. He loved the Lord and was a true man of God.
He was a hardworking man who loved gardening and his family. He was a strong man, but was also the most kind, humble human being you’d ever meet. He loved to hunt quail and turkey, work in his yard and at his property in Alabama. He was a “one of a kind” great man who loved everyone and would do anything for others. He lived a good life and left a fine example and legacy that touched many lives. He was his family’s rock and steady ship in this turbulent world. Our lives will never be the same without him here to guide us on this earth. He was loved, cherished and admired by so many. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers are Nick Allen, Jonathon Green, Randy Gilstrap, Carl Busey, Jerry McGaughey and Greg Dyess.
Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Carlson and Mike Stefanko.
The funeral service is pending with Faith Chapel North in charge of arrangements, with Pastor James McGaughey officiating.
Sadly, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the service will be limited to family only. The family respectively requests face coverings and social distancing.
Burial will be at Eastern Gate Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, staff and the hospice nurse at the Gulf Breeze Baptist Hospital for their valiant effort to save our loved one.

Mr. Will Amos, age 67, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, in Atmore, Alabama.
Mr. Amos was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, AL. He was employed with the State of Alabama, carpenter for Thomas and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Amos; brother, James O’Neal Amos and grandparents, Royal and Rosie Johnson.
He is survived by his three brothers, Thomas (Pam) Amos of Atmore, AL, Carlton Amos of Dyas, AL and Clifford Amos of Biloxi, MS; and three sisters, Carolyn (Jimmy) Jackson of Atmore, AL, Bernice (Joe) Pace of Nokomis, AL and Bertha Dean of Atmore, AL.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sullivan Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bonnie Mae Peebles, age 76, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Peebles was a native and lifelong resident of Bratt, FL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of the Bratt Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leroy Peebles, parents, Coy and Willie Mae Gunn; sister, Dorothy Peebles; brother, Lonnie Ray Gunn and two half-brothers, Wilton Ledkins and Alton Ledkins.
She is survived by three sons, Tony (Rhonda) Peebles of Robinsonville, AL, Darin Peebles of Bratt, FL and Phillip (Cynthia) Peebles of Andalusia, AL; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is to be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Barry George officiating.
Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

Mr. Robert Lee Parker, age 91, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Parker was a native and lifelong resident of Rabun, AL. He was a lifelong and accomplished farmer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Melba Virginia Parker; son, Larry Robert Parker and great-granddaughter, Meagan Meyers.
He is survived by three sons, Russell (Helen) Parker of Rabun, AL, Jeff (Brenda) Parker of Rabun, AL and Shane (Katie) Parker of Rabun, AL; one daughter, Annette Thomley of Rabun, AL; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 3, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Rabun Church of God with Bro. Jim Sowell and Bro. Randal Short officiating.
Burial was at Guy’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Jimmy Daniel “Boone” Wood, age 48, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Wood was a native and former resident of Century, FL and had resided in Jay, FL for the past 22 years. Boone was a 1991 graduate of Century High School and a member of the Ebenezer Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar W. and Bertha Lee Wood and James and Sybil Ratliff and brother, James O. Wood.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy (Glenda) Wood of Jay, FL; mother, Patty Faye Inman of Jay, FL; two sisters, Evelyn (Cliff) Emmons of Flomaton, AL and Belinda (Daniel) Morgan of Atmore, AL and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Ebenezer Church with Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating.

Nancy Hart

Nancy “Roberta” Hart, 85, of Cantonment, FL, passed away on August 1, 2020. Roberta was called home to Heaven to be with her beloved husband.
Roberta was born in Goodway, AL, to Walter and Donnie Simmons on January 18, 1935. She was married to her husband, David for 68 years before he passed.
Roberta is preceded in death by her son, David Jr; her daughter, Barbara Ann, her husband, Warren “David”, her sister, Gloria Gainey, and her parents, Walter and Donnie Simmons.
She is survived by her youngest son, Daniel Hart (Betty Ann), her granddaughter, Rebecka Grice (Jacob); her great-grandchildren, Jackson Grice (Courtney) and Alyssa Grice; and her brother, Walter James Simmons Jr.
Services will be held at Faith Chapel North on Friday, August 7, 2020. Visitation will be held at 12:30 PM, followed by funeral services, led by Pastor Keith Mott, at 1:30 PM. “May your everlasting love for one another exemplify God’s love”.

James Foster Mosley

Mr. James Foster Mosley, age 89, of Century, FL, passed away to his Heavenly home Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Mosley was born in Lottie, AL, and had been a resident of Century most of his life. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy and he was retired after 30 plus years form Monsanto, now Ascend, in Pensacola, FL. He was a most avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Century.
Mr. James was always a Gentleman of Honor, his love for God, family and country was always exemplified in his life everyday. He was loved by many and many will miss his presence.
Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his parents, Hilary and Mamie Foster Mosley and his sister, Bernice Daughtery.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Louzine Mosley of Century, FL; two stepsons, Billy (Brenda) Cox of McDavid, FL and Tommy (Sandra) Cox of Thomasville, AL; his loving sister, FLorence Cofield of Century, FL; grandchildren, Autumn (Shawn) Fleming, Summer (Ricky) Payne, Brandi Cox (Jarod), Michael (Amber) Cox; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Jackson, and Anna; many loving nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.

Mr. Charles “Billy” Dole, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Dole was a native and lifelong resident of Century, FL. He was the best dad, grandfather, friend to all, loved the Florida Gators, spending time with his family, touched many lives and was jokester. He never met someone that he couldn’t make out of a friend. His smile and jokes could light up a room. His selfless acts over the years were a testament to his character. He was employed with Century Pharmacy for 56 years and a member of the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Eva Dole; sister, Eva Jo Dole; two brothers, Dickie Dole and Ed Dole; son, Donald Ray Franklin and great granddaughter, Jaylynn Nicole Franklin.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Nell Franklin of Flomaton, AL; two sons, Michael Dewayne (Loretta) Franklin of Flomaton, AL and Bobby Ray (Jacqueline) Franklin of Flomaton, AL; one daughter, Angie Dole of Flomaton, AL; one sister, Myra Jean (Charles) Steadham of Atmore, AL; one sister-in-law, Carol Dole of Century, FL; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two nieces, Sherry Diamond and Carrie Bryan; one nephew, Eric Steadham; five great nieces and nephews and his work family at Century Pharmacy.
Memorial wake will be held Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
A larger gathering and memorial will be held at later date as conditions improve around Covid-19.
