Janice Marie Seals Hall

Janice Marie Seals Hall age 65 of Atmore, went home to be with Jesus on April 4, 2021 Resurrection Sunday.
She was born in Atmore, Al on November 18, 1955 to the late William J Seals and Melvie Z Seals, was a native of Nokomis, Fl; where she grew up with her sisters and brother helping her parents work on their farm. She went to Davisville School and graduated at Ernest Ward School, and after she retired from Vanity Fair and New South Apparel; she graduated from Capps College as a Registered Medical Assistant. Then she worked at Walmart Vision Center and The Meadows Assisted Living. Growing up on the farm she enjoyed working outside in the garden and with her flowers,
She helped her husband of 46 years, do any kind of work outside and remodel their many homes they lived in. She grew up playing the guitar and singing gospel music, worked in the church as song leader, musician, Sunday school teacher and children’s church teacher. Her greatest past time was bream fishing and she could catch more fish than whoever was with her. She loved all her nieces and nephews and everyone else’s children.
She had happy and joyful spirit toward everyone and was loved for her beautiful (SMILE) that she was known for. We all will miss her greatly!
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Gordon Hall of Atmore, AL; one brother, Michael Seals, of Davisville, FL; three sisters, Shelia Lee of Century, FL; Donna Jordan of Poarch, AL; Shereee Morgan of Flomaton, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Bruley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Pine Barren Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Zack Carter, Shane Seals, Brian Jordan, Chase Odom, Chris Burklund and Jeremy Shiver.
Mary Lue Smith

Mary L. Smith, resident of Cantonment, FL, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born in Damascus, Alabama to the late Johnnie White and Maggie Stone White. She was a member of the Cottage Hill Methodist Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Smith; parents; brother, Walter White; and grandchild, Ashby Smith.
She is survived by her children, Glenn (Betty) Smith, David (Jan) Smith and Theresa (David) Cook; grandchildren, Tonya (Dale) Morss, Autumn Altman, Chip (Nicole) Coleman, Debra (Brian) Hicks and Kara (Len) Bryant; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Thomas White; and sister, Annie Laura DuBose.
Graveside services will be held at 2PM, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Cottage Hill Community Cemetery.

Mr. Clifton McCauley, age 94, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. McCauley was a native of McDavid, FL. He was a Veteran of War World II. He was employed 40 years at the Naval Air Station and a supervisor of aircraft maintenance with the Blue Angels and Charco Incorporation for 10 years. He served as a councilman of The Muscogee Nation of Florida.
He is survived by his one; son, Steven & Karen (Windham) McCauley of McDavid, FL; one; daughter, Anita Sue & Wayne Godwin of McDavid, FL; four grandchildren, Jon, Casey, Krystle and Kyle; five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Mae McCauley and his wife Ouida Lee McCauley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Bridges officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ray’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Dorothy Jean (Barlow) Mosherr

Dorothy Jean (Barlow) Mosher, 85, of Pensacola, FL, passed from this life into her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, and joyously reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
Jean was born in Mobile, AL, but had resided in Pensacola all of her adult life. Jean was retired from the Escambia County School Board, having been an elementary school teacher for many years, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She also was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved teaching a Bible study class and a Sunday school class there, as well. She was a devoted and loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence D. Mosher; her parents, Jesse L. Barlow and Velma C. Watford; and her youngest brother, Gary D. Barlow.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Steve) Durham, Debra (Danny) Larsen, Joyce (Mark) Little and William “Billy” Mosher; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert (Virginia) Barlow.
Funeral Services for Jean will be held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, FL 32571.)
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the services.
Burial will follow services at Barrancas National Cemetery, on board NAS Pensacola, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jason Durham, Zachary Durham, Jonathan Little, Mark Little, Steve Talbot, and Andrew Smith.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of The Residence for the care and love Jean received during the time she resided there.

Patricia Sue Strength

Patricia S. Strength, lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Mon., March 29, 2021 at the age of 72. She was born on Sept. 7, 1948 to the late Claude O’Gwynn and Icletus Carroll O’Gwynn.
Patricia was a faithful member of East Side Assembly of God. She loved God and her family with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, James Arlington Strength; and her parents.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Vickie (Wesley) Henderson; grandson, Blake (Hailey) Cavanah; granddaughter, Paige Henderson; great granddaughter, Lynlee Cavanah; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wed., April 7, 2021 at East Side Assembly of God with Pastor Ken Johnson and Pastor Josh Pope officiating. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. on Tues., April 6, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Dorothy Jean Howell White

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Howell White, age 81, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home in Tallahassee FL.
Mrs. White was born in Century, FL, and had been a member of the Century and Flomaton communities for years before she moved to Tallahassee where she lived for 23 years. During her working years she worked as a secretary for the Florida Department of Forestry. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and her gardening. Mrs. White was of the Holiness faith, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and was preceded in death by her parents, James Elvin and Luna Dee Ryles Howell; three brothers; one sister, and her husband, Willard O’Neil White.
She is survived by son, Joey O’Neil (Allison) White of Land O’ Lakes, FL; daughters, Katherine Virginia White of Tallahassee, FL, Frances Darlene (Peter Nicholas) Diaz of Port Richey, FL, Mary Phyllis (Lawrence) Davis of Fayetteville, TN; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. White will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 1 P.M. until a 2 P.M. service time with Bro. Donnis Bowman officiating.
Interment will follow in Rock Cemetery, Flomaton, AL.

Jimmy W. Phillips, (Paw Paw) Age 80 passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Pensacola, FL.
He was born in Opp, AL but moved to Pensacola, Fl where he worked for Monsanto Company for 37 years. He retired at an early age and always enjoyed working on cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed rebuilding antique cars, fishing, Auburn football, and multiple sports with his grandchildren which were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Phillips, stepmother Ethel Phillips and his mother, Ona Goodson.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances Harrison Phillips, son, Tim Phillips, daughter Judy (Brian) Illian, grandchildren, Adyson Illian, Tyler Illian, Peyton Illian, Tanner Illian, Lauren Illian, Tate Illian and Alexis Illian.; great grandson, Rawlings Illian and sister-in-law, Gloria Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wed., March 31, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Ted Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Acres Memorial Cemetery, Opp, Alabama. The visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. prior to services.

Mrs. Tamara Gail Godwin, age 65, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Century, Florida.
Mrs. Godwin was a resident of Century, Florida for the past 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bratt. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Velma Jean Smith and husband, Paul Howard Godwin.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Paul Godwin of Century, FL; mother-in-law, Nell Godwin of Century, FL; brother-in-law, Wayne Godwin of Century, FL and other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Godwin Cemetery with Bro. Tim Hawsey officiating.
Barbara June Miller Hendrix

Barbara June Miller Hendrix, 88, was born in Molino, Florida and lived there her entire life. Born to William Roy and Annie Mae Miller, she had one brother, Donald, all preceding her in death. She attended Molino Junior High School and graduated from J.M. Tate High School in 1950. Barbara married her childhood sweetheart, Charles Hendrix, in 1951. They were married 55 years when he passed away in 2006.
A wife and a homemaker, she and Charles raised 3 children- Chuck, Rusty, and Cheryl. During the time that Charles was drafted, Barbara laughed and cringed at the same time about the “2 days” that she delivered the mail for him. She referred to them as the two scariest days of her life, driving the slippery dirt roads of Molino. Little League baseball games, piano lessons, learning about football while watching the band, yet there was always a meal on the table at “dinner” and “supper” made from recipes of “a little of this” and “a little of that.”!
Barbara was a lifetime member of Highland Baptist Church. She was baptized in Wilders Creek in 1949 and always said, if you were not saved when you went in the creek, you were when you came out! She attended and led the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), was a member of the Molino Homemakers Club where she led the group in their monthly devotion, and she was a charter member of the Molino Mid County Historical Society. She gained so many friends from these groups, friends that would always check in with her and that loved her dearly.
We that will forever cherish the life we shared with her: Chuck and his wife Peggy; Rusty and his wife Susan; Cheryl and her husband Archie. The light of her eyes, her seven granddaughters, who knew her as “MeMaw” or “MawMaw” depending on which grandchild you were, and the added grandsons: Leslee and her husband Jordan Williams; Meridith and her husband Marshall Caum, Kayla and her husband Keith Meador, Cari Hendrix, Lydia and her husband Justin Purvis, Avery Hendrix, Haylee and her husband Benjamin Linam. Added are her sunshines, her great-grandchildren: Charlee Meador, Landree Williams, Jett Williams, Caroline Caum, and Gunner Meador. Also very dear to her were her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons and Henry Heibert, Brad Johnson and Robert Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Barton, Charles Purvis, Jack Gibson, the members of the Molino Homemakers and the Molino Mid County Historical Society.
Services will be on Monday, March 29 th , 2021 at Highland Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Calhoun officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm with the funeral to follow at 3:00pm.

Johnnie T Jumper, Jr.

Johnnie T Jumper, Jr. was born December 23, 1942 in Meridian, Mississippi and died surrounded by his family on March 21, 2021.
Johnnie joined the Army when he was 18. He was a Korean War Veteran and took great pride in his service. It was in the Army that he began to develop his skills as a mechanic.
In 1961 he married Vera Davis, the love of his life, and welcomed their first child in 1963. 10 years later he moved his family to New Orleans and soon after opened his diesel repair business, Diesel Technicians. Johnnie was the best in his field and was flown around the world for his expertise. His success meant that he was often away from him family for long periods of time.
In 1987 he decided to focus more time on his family, closed his business and moved back to Meridian. Five years later he bought his wife the old house she always loved in Cantonment and moved his family for the last time. He dedicated his life to taking care of his family. He was an active member of Aldersgate Methodist Church until his wife’s health would no longer allow.
Johnnie was always willing to help anyone in need. He had a caring, peaceful soul that came through in his words and deeds. He was famous for flashing a Peace sign anytime someone tried to take his picture. He will always be remembered for his gentle spirit and hearty laugh.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jumper, his parents Johnnie Jumper Sr and Elizabeth Jumper, his siblings Dot Strickland and Perry Cushman as well as 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Audrey Miller (Kevin), Johnnie Jumper III (Lisa), Holly Bodi (Robert), Debra Whitten (Bobby), Elizabeth Douglas (Trevor) and Wendy Bedsole (Paul).
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Johnnie will be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be scheduled in April.
