Jeremy Shawn McKissack, 41, of Bay Minette, AL died on August 15, 2021 at North Baldwin Infirmary. Jeremy was a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, AL. Jeremy was a captain at Bay Minette Fire Department Station 70 where he served the community for 20 years. Jeremy also served the community of Daphne, AL. at Daphne Fire Department for 13 years. Jeremy volunteered his services with Perdido and Rabun volunteer fire departments. Jeremy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family enjoying Auburn University sporting events. Jeremy, Amber and the girls were also known to go on very spontaneous road trips across the country to watch the Auburn Tigers! War Eagle!
Jeremy is survived by his wife Amber Bush McKissack, daughters, Andi Brooke McKissack and Abby Kate McKissack; his mother Regina Sprinkle (Thomas); father Larry Sprinkle (Allie); grandmother Annette McKissack, Aunt Rhonda Akins all of Bay Minette, AL; and mother and father in law Janet and Web Bush of Perdido, AL. Jeremy was loved by his aunts, uncles, sister & brother in law, cousins, nieces and nephews, amazing friends, as well as, the many first responders of Baldwin County, AL.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Bay Minette, AL. The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Rev. Phil Bryars and Malcolm Harrelson will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jeremy’s life. Pallbearers will be Chief Mike Minchew, Wayne Bryars, Kenny Hanak, Bobby Dolan, Brian Dees, Chad Jones, Jeff Smith and Cameron Boyington. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Bay Minette Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank North Baldwin Infirmary medical staff, ICU nurses and doctors for their unwavering care and love shown to Jeremy. The family will be forever grateful for the love and care Jeremy was given
Wilma Lexine Miller

Wilma Lexine Miller passed away on August 17, 2021 in Molino, FL.
She was born on February 3, 1928 in McCullough, AL to Joe and Ida Floyd. Lexine married the love of her life, Bobby C. Miller, Sr., after knowing him for only 3 days and they celebrated 70 sweet years together. They had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren. She was very proud of all of them.
As a young girl, she went to Barrineau Park School and then graduated from Tate High School in 1946. The family believes Lexine was the oldest original member of Barrineau Park. She went to Mobile Beauty School and became a beautician and worked in downtown Pensacola until she met her husband. Then she became a housewife and a wonderful mother. She made sure that her children were brought up to be kind, considerate, and very respectful of everyone. Her children kept her in the back of their minds while they were raising their own children – she was a great role model!
Lexine is survived by her daughters, Karen Wood and Donna L. Gatlin; and sons, Bobby C. Miller, Jr. and Michael R. Miller.
Funeral services will be held on August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Burial will follow at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dustin Ard, James Ard, Matthew Gatlin, Jason Miller, Mike Kapotsy, and Brad Shaw. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Eichholtz, Tim Daniels, Ronnie Beasly, Jechonias Wood, John Miller, and Jessy Gilliard.

Ernest Owen Wood, Sr.
July 15, 1939 – August 17, 2021
Owen was born July 15, 1939 in Copeland, Alabama and passed Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama after a lengthy illness. Born in Washington County, Owen later moved to Prichard in 1955, and graduated from Vigor High School with the Class of 1957. At 15 years of age, Owen wished to serve his country and joined the Alabama Army National Guard. Upon high school graduation, he transferred to the United States Navy, then graduated from the Navy Boot Camp at Great Lakes, Michigan. Owen served with distinction aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam and was honorably discharged from service in 1962. He then resided in Prichard, Alabama where he served his community as a member of the Civitan Club and was actively involved in the Mobile County political arena. He served as chairman of the Prichard Water and Sewer Board, and was a member of the Pentalpha Lodge #804 F&AM and the 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Mobile. He worked for ALCOA, where he retired after 25 years and began operating a family farm in the cattle and hay business within the community of Canoe, Alabama. He attended Canoe United Methodist Church, and was affectionately known as the “unofficial mayor” of Canoe. Owen was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed his morning coffee with friends and strangers at Baker’s Store telling stories of his adventures. His greatest pride and joy was his grandchildren and beloved family. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Erna Wood, and his brothers, James and Edsel Wood. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ronda Jalis Wood; sons, Ernie (Regina) Wood and Vance (Traci) Wood; and grandchildren Michael, Rachel, and McKinley “Mac” Wood. The family would like to give a special thank you to the medical staff on 4th Floor South at Thomas Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held at Canoe United Methodist Cemetery in Robinsonville, AL on Sunday, August 22nd at 2:00pm for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home or a children’s charity of choice.

Ola Mae Spence Weekly, 97 of Walnut Hill, FL. passed away August 19, 2021 in Monroeville, AL. She was born in Atmore, AL. on December 17, 1923 to late Ashley and Dora Grimsley Spence. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd Weekly, her son Douglas Hadley, three sisters; Clinnie Joiner, Mary Creasy, Pearly Hollingsworth, five brothers Earnest Spence, Luke Spence, John Spence, Ransom Spence and A.D. Spence. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Walnut Hill, FL. She was retired from Vanity Fair in Atmore, AL.
She is survived by one son William D. “Billy” (Vicki) Taylor of Frisco City, AL. Seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Springs Cemetery.

Teresa Rene’ Mooney Etheridge, 65, of Walnut Hill, FL. passed away August 16, 2021 in Pensacola, FL. She was born on February 27, 1956 in Atmore, AL. to the late Freddie Leon and Joan Milstead Mooney. She was a member of Atmore First Assembly of God and was a former EMT for Atmore Ambulance Service. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Michael Lennard Etheridge, Sr. and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Michael Lennard (Larissa) Etheridge, Jr. of Century, FL; Candace Rene’ (Dennis) Pittman, Jr. of Walnut Hill, FL; Ashley Beatrice Daw (Shaun Qualls) of Atmore, AL. and Haley Anne Etheridge of Walnut Hill, FL. One brother Eddie (Eunice) Mooney of Oak Grove, FL. and two sisters Tina (Frankie) Marsh of Oak Grove, FL. and Teelya Whitehead of Oak Grove, FL. Six grandchildren Dennis, III; Landon, Weston, Madalynn, Braxton; Camden; two special friends Cindy Freeman, Vicki Hardy and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 3 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Donnie Lambert Nicholson

How do you define a lifetime? If you look at the simple definition, it is defined as the duration of one’s existence or usefulness. Many would say a lifetime encompasses one’s accomplishments or the places they have visited and seen. But as Donnie’s family, we would say a lifetime is defined as the countless number of people he loved and the impact he had on those around him. In his almost 71 years of life, the outpouring from our relatives, friends, and community has been simply nothing short of amazing and a true picture of the wonderful man that we knew as hun, daddy, and pa.
Growing up in Molino, his parents Rufus and Bertie Nicholson owned a cash house. If you are unaware of what a cash house is, it is like a general store. And in a time where Walmart or Dollar General did not exist, it is where you bought the things that you could not grow or make yourself. The cash house was in Old Molino and in that store, Donnie would grow up learning some of the most valuable lessons in life. He was expected to work hard, treat people with kindness, and it was where he was taught the true meaning of integrity. From the stories his mother and friends told, he could be mean as a rattlesnake but would also turn around and give you the shirt off his back.
He attended Tate High School where he played baseball and also met the love of his life, Jackie. Graduating in 1968, Donnie left for Tennessee attending tech school to become a certified diesel mechanic. On Friday afternoons, Donnie would leave his last class to make the long drive back to Molino to see Jackie. After completing his certification and Jackie graduating high school, they were married August 29, 1969, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. This month would have been their 52nd wedding anniversary.
Some may not know, but Donnie served in the U.S. Army. He was drafted in 1970 and stationed in Ft. Lee, Virginia. In 1972, his father passed away and being the only son in his family, he was honorably discharged of his duties after serving almost two years. After the Army, Donnie continued his professional journey working for various contractors until he was hired on with Flor-Daniels. At Flor-Daniels he was certified a welder/pipe fitter and worked for
them for 20 years. He was later hired at International Paper. Donnie would continue working at International Paper for 18 more years and retired in 2012.
Over the years, Donnie did some pretty amazing things. He and Jackie had two daughters, Charlene and Amanda. They were blessed with three grandchildren, Austin, Jared, and Violet and one great grandchild, Hazel. Donnie loved his community and he loved people. He attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church where if you were a member or just visiting, you would have met or heard Donnie when you entered the front doors. He greeted everyone with a smile and a big HEY! When he was younger, Donnie served as a firefighter for the Molino Volunteer Fire Department and later became captain for many years. He was an avid field trailsman for the Northwest Florida Pointer and Setter Club and served on the board. He loved to hunt and fish, and there wasn’t much that he did not hunt. Trips to Saint Vincent’s Island to hunt deer or quail hunting in Texas with Uncle Jamie, he was always on the go. The same was for fishing, though he loved his freshwater fishing best. He taught his grandsons how to hunt and fish and loved to go with them every chance he could.
Over thirty years ago, Donnie and Jackie asked their daughter Amanda if she wanted to play ball and she said yes. No one knew how that moment would shape the future of softball for so many in our community. And from that moment on, Donnie started coaching. With his passion for the game, love for his family, and dedication to the community, Donnie would go on to coach many girls and many different teams. He dedicated his time to those that wanted to play.
If you needed extra help, he would say meet me at the ballpark. If you needed to know where Donnie was, you could check the Tom Thumb getting coffee for him and Jackie or check at the ballpark. He volunteered his time wherever it was needed, especially when it came to softball. From helping other coaches, ball parents, and even the high school players and their coaches, to simply going to watch one of his previous players at their college game, he chased his passion. He followed the careers of his softball girls, attended their games, even recruited for his next season team while attending those games, all the while doing what he loved.
These words only give you a sample of Donnie’s lifetime and glimmer of the how many people that crossed his path. A true testament to the man we loved is receiving the outpouring of love from our community and family. We have been blessed as a family to call him husband, dad, and pa, but even more blessed that we could share our wonderful person with the sport he loved the most and the people that loved it with him.

Mrs. Robbie Lynn Carnley, age 39, passed away, August 18, 2021, in Atmore, AL. She was a lifelong resident of Flomaton, AL. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail courier for 20 plus years. She was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carnley loved her family dearly and always valued the time she spent with them. She was involved in her children’s cheering and their sports activities. She enjoyed painting, remodeling her house and vacationing with her family. She loved the Christmas holidays out of any other holiday because she loved decorating for it.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Louise Ellis, Howard and Eunice Stanton.
She is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Christine) Stanton, of Flomaton, AL; her husband of four years Jerry Wayne Carnley of Flomaton, AL; two sons, Jerry Wayne Carnley III, of Flomaton, AL; Cooper Nathaniel Carnley, of Flomaton, AL; two daughters, Amber Burkett, of Flomaton, Lilly Sutton, of Flomaton, AL; relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Hill, Rev. Waylon Stuckey, and Rev. Jeff Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Little Escambia Cemetery.

Angie Tolin, 44 of Atmore, AL, passed away August 10, 2021 in Atmore. She was born in Atmore, AL, on October 26, 1976 to Herman and Merle Harris Tolin. She was a member of Gospel Light Church and a 1996 graduate of Escambia County High School. She is preceded in death by her father Herman Tolin and sister Sheila Tolin.
She is survived by her mother Merle Harris Tolin; brothers Herman Roy Tolin, James (Tammy) Tolin and her nephew James-Benjamin “Bean” Tolin all of Atmore, AL. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral HomeChapel with Bro. Clarence Rolin officiating. Interment will follow in Mineola Church Cemetery in Mineola, AL.

Robert (Bobby) Earl Kimbro

Robert (Bobby) Earl Kimbro, 75, entered into eternal rest to be with his Lord and Savior on August 14, 2021 due to congestive heart failure. He was born on June 10, 1946 to Earl and Gladys Kimbro. Born and raised in Pensacola, he was a 1964 graduate of Pensacola High School. He was retired from Armstrong World Industries.
He married Reba Gainey Kimbro in 1969 and they had three sons, David, Bruce and Bryan.
He was a true “Southern Gentleman”, loved by all. He was a leather crafter, great photographer and avid historian. He was also commissioned as an Honorable Kentucky Colonel in 2009.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Robert David. He was survived by his wife, Reba Gainey Kimbro of almost 52 years; son, Robert Bruce-Gordon Kimbro and his wife, Stephanie; son, Richard Bryan Kimbro and his wife, Jonette; three grandchildren, Jonathan Kimbro, Maggie Bryanna Kimbro and Kylie Jon Kimbro; brother, Ronnie Kimbro and his wife, Sharon Gainey Kimbro; sister, Rosemary Kimbro Cook and her husband Ken. Also, his closest and dearest friends/cousins, Don and Melody Norris.
Due to the increase of the Covid-19 outbreak and for everyone’s safety, the family will hold a private graveside service in the next few days, officiated by one of his dear 1964 PHS Classmates, Phil Jones. On behalf of Bobby, the family would like to thank Dr. Robert P. Jensen for many years of extraordinary care, a very special nurse Christy Allen, RN and Covenant Hospice for their exceptional care during this last week.
Michael Dewayne Brown

Michael Dewayne Brown, 47, of Pensacola, FL gained his angel wings August 9, 2021.
Mr. Brown was born on August 29, 1973 in Birmingham, AL.
He was raised by his father Donald Brown in Leeds, AL. His father raised a loving and strong man. He attended Moody High School and played football while in high school. He loved watching football with Grandpa Brown as a child. Michael was the ultimate Alabama Football fan. Michael had the same season tickets to the Alabama football home games for over 20 years and very seldom missed a game. He loved to tailgate in Tuscaloosa with the love of his life Kim and friends. He enjoyed cooking for everyone and making Christmas cookies for his family. Michael loved life and was passionate about his hobbies. He loved grilling, fishing, racing RC cars, paintball, golfing, shooting, and many other hobbies. In April 2005 he met the love of his life Kimberly Nelson. Michael would drive just about every weekend from Alabama to Pensacola to be with Kim. In June 2006 he moved permanently to Pensacola to be with his love. As we mourn and struggle with his untimely passing we find peace knowing he was so dearly loved by all of us. Michael lived his life to the fullest always loving his family first and enjoying all of his hobbies.
He is survived by his spouse Kimberly Nelson, Father Donald Brown, Aunt Paulette Fuller, Aunt Barbara Gentry, Uncle Gary and his wife Aunt Miranda Brown, Aunt Terry, mother in law Agnes Nelson and Father in law Joseph Nelson Sr and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, brother in laws, and sister in laws.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Christine and Clarence Brown, Uncle Robert Brown, Uncle Gerald Brown, and Aunt Rita Barbour.
His service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Faith Chapel North 1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533. Visitation is family 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Family and Friends 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Service will be at 2:00 pm.
