William (Bill) A Terry

William (Bill) A Terry, 73, of Walnut Hill Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, December 12, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1948, in Atmore, Alabama and lived in Molino, Florida most of his life.  He graduated from JM Tate High School. Bill worked as a Chemical Operator for Solutia where he retired after many years. Prior to his time at Solutia he and his wife owned/operated Terry’s Farm and Home Center in Molino, Florida.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his family. He loved the outdoors. Bill was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was happiest being with his family, floating down the river catching bream or working in his garden.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debbie Terry, his daughter Jennifer (Ron) Cook, his son Jason (Gina) Terry, his grandchildren Shelby (Richard) Hardy, Hunter Terry, Dalton (Bri) Ray, great grandson Jackson Ray, his mother-in-law Edna Taylor, his sister Fay (John) Fant; sister-in-law Lurleyne Terry, brother-in-law Bill (Dalia) Taylor, Ronnie (Theresa) Williamson, Jackie (Gene) Milstid, Cindy (Dink) Kennedy, Terry (Pat) Monahan, many special nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend and fishing partner Wallace Arnold.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Robert E and Evelyn Ruth Enfinger Terry, father-in-law W.T. Taylor, mother-in-law Maxine Gillespie, brothers James Terry (Martha) and Donald Terry.

The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice Care and David with Aerocare for their kindness and care during this time.

A celebration of life will be held at the Barrineau Park Community Center on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 3pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Faith Chapel North.

Guinever “Gwin” Burkett Knowles

Mrs. Guinever “Gwin” Burkett Knowles, 82, passed into the arms of Jesus on December 15, 2021.  Gwin was born of February 25, 1939 to Pearlie Burkett and married the love of her life, Huey P. Knowles on July 2, 1957.

Gwin was a 1957 graduate of Flomaton High School and was a retired school bus driver.  She was “Mama” to most of the students who rode her bus.  Her hobbies including gardening, sewing, and crocheting and she enjoyed her many creations with everyone she came into contact with.  She loved children and could make an ordinary day feel like an adventure.  She knew absolutely nothing about football but enjoyed rooting for the Auburn Tigers with her son-in-law, Wayne.  She was a faithful member of Moyeville Baptist Church and was happiest around the children of the church.  She spent many years as VBS director, teaching Sunday school and Bible Drills.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Pearlie Burkett, husband, Huey Knowles, one brother, Harvey Burkett and two sisters, Aurelia Gardner and Louise McLaughlin.

She is survived by four daughters, Sherry (Mike) Bell, B.J. (Archie) Dansby, Donna Coleman and (Tracy) Wayne Sullivan, all of Flomaton, daughter of her heart, Josephine (James Smith) Johnson of Flomaton, one sister, Myree Morgan of Corpus Christie, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, cousins, friends, nieces, nephews and many, many more that knew her only as “Mama” or “Nanny”.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday December 17, 2021 from the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hutto officiating.  Interment will follow at Moyeville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Flomaton Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Sandra Booker Cohron

Sandra Booker Cohron, 80, of Cantonment, Florida, a firm believer of her faith went home to be with Jesus her Lord and Savior on December 11, 2021. She was a member of East Side Assembly of God. Our sweet Mother raised her children with much love and devotion and we each felt it. She raised many fur babies who also felt her love and provided her many years of companionship and returned the love to her. Mother’s passion was gardening. She loved all types of plants and gardening provided her many hours of comfort.

Sandra is survived by daughter, Cynthia Cohron (Mark Anthony) Sacco; sons, James “Buddy” Ronald Cohron Jr. and Donald “Donnie” Ray Cohron; grandson, Ronnie James Cohron; ex-husband, James “Ronnie” Ronald Cohron; sisters, Glinda (Leon) Nall and Joanne (Tommy) Winn; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Lou Hennington Booker; father, Robert “Bud” Booker; and brother, Bobby Booker.

Serving as pallbearers are her sons, Donnie Cohron, James “Buddy” Cohron, her son-in-law, Mark Sacco, her nephew, Stephen Nall, her grand nephew, Fisher Nall and Jeff Bledsoe whom she loved like a son.

Gordon Willard Howell

Gordon Willard Howell passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at age 90. He was born in Century, Florida. He met the love of his life, Juanita Bondurant Howell of Flomaton, Alabama while in high school. He enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1948, and was initially stationed in San Diego, CA. He married Juanita March 25, 1951, and she joined him in San Diego. Gordon was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1952, after which Gordon and Juanita settled in Pensacola, FL.

After working for Gulf Power Company for a short time, Gordon was accepted into the apprentice program aboard Pensacola Naval Air Station as an electrician. He continued to work for Naval Air Rework Facility and the Naval Aviation Depot until his retirement in 1989, ultimately rising to the rank of GS-15 Department Head. Following his retirement, Gordon co-founded MHM enterprises, a real estate investment firm.

Gordon was very active in the Myrtle Grove community and in Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. He served as Secretary Treasurer of the Myrtle Grove Youth Sports Program and as a football coach for several years. Gordon and Juanita have been members of Myrtle Grove Baptist church for 56 years, where Gordon served in many capacities, including Deacon.

Gordon was a loving husband and father who enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his large extended family. He and Juanita also had the opportunity to travel all over the United States in their motorhomes. As his own children got older, he especially enjoyed playing with and keeping his grandchildren.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Phoebe Howell; two brothers, Farrel Howell and Cordell Howell; and two sisters, Millie Howell Long and Doris Howell Hancock.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; their three children, David and Peggy and their family, Kevin, Krisse, Colton, Tinley, Kyndell, LeAnn, and Carl; Phillip and Tammy and their family, Dachie, Tannah, Lexie, Anna, and Kaylee; Cyndi and Bill and their family, Courtney, Avery, Shelby, Brody, Kelsey, and Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 15, from 11:00 am—12:30 pm, with service immediately following. Burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church or Lentine’s Outreach Ministries, Inc. in lieu of flowers.

James Neil Wright, Jr.

James Neil Wright, Jr., age 56, of Cantonment, FL passed away on December 7, 2021.

He was born May 8, 1965 in Panama City, FL.

James is preceded in death by his father, James Neil Wright; mother, Pansy Chambers Wright; and brother, Jonathan H. Boland.

He is survived by his sisters, Virginia N. Wright and Neila W. Halter of Cantonment, FL.

James worked for many years at Ventilated Awnings. He enjoyed fishing, vacations with family and spending time with his family and their children.

He was loved by his nieces and nephews and will be missed by all.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery, Chumuckla, FL. Pastor Gene Hudson officiating services.

was born on November 2, 1927 to Louis and Nellie Daw Evers. She is preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, John Henry Marshall; her daughter, Betty Watson; her brother,
Earl Evers and her sister, Vivian Fountain.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Marshall (Renee) of Canoe, AL; her daughters, Carolyn
Cross (Bill) of Mobile, AL, Shirley Hardin (Don) of Cuba, AL, and Johnnie McCann (Bud)
of Cuba, AL; her brother, Wilbur Evers (Lois) of Bay Minette, AL; her sister, Pearl Falls
of O’Brien, FL; seven grandchildren, Amy Hill (Russ), John Henry Watson (John), Julie
Peck (Don), Angel Cruise, Jessica Bonner (Sam), Martha Gray (Bo), and Erin Hadley

Mary Elizabeth Beauchamp

Mary Elizabeth Beauchamp, of Taylorsville, Illinois, was born on May 2, 1936. She passed away suddenly at the age of 85 years old in Pensacola, Florida on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

Mary moved to Pensacola in 1986 to live closer to her two daughters. Mary was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Elmer Poore and George Beauchamp. She is survived by her children, John Poore of Carmel, Indiana, Elizabeth Treadway of Molino, Florida, Sarah (Kent Anthony) of South Bend, Indiana, Rachel (Gilbert Gonzales) of Pace, Florida; her grandchildren, Amber Schmidt, Casey Anthony, Trent Anthony, Jessica White, Gregory Treadway, Mercedes Vest, and Michael White; four step-grandchildren; three great-
grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Mary was a caring and generous soul; an endless vessel which held unconditional love for those she held close. Her contagious smile and bright personality will be missed but her love and laughter will live in our hearts forever and always.

Arrangements for cremation by Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida. The family will hold a private celebration in honor of her beautiful life.

Donna Patricia Hollingsworth Godwin

Donna Patricia Hollingsworth Godwin went to her heavenly home on December 5, 2021.

She was born on July 9, 1945 in Pineville, Florida to Grady and Agnes Hollingsworth. She was a 1964 graduate of Ernest Ward High School. After marrying, she lived in Huntsville, AL. She was a member of Bible Believers Baptist Church in Madison, AL. She received a degree in Childhood Development and worked at Rainbow Daycare Center as an Assistant Director from 1986 until retirement. She spent her retirement traveling, enjoying her family and taking care of her granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Dewey, Bob, Andy and Junior Hollingsworth and her sister, Doris Long.

She is survived by her husband, James Godwin; her son, Richard “Michael” Godwin; her daughter, Amy (Jon) Amonette; her grandchildren, Jacob, Mady, Abigail and a new little girl to be born in April. She is also survived by her brothers Martin (Winnie) Hollingsworth; Winston (Marie) Hollingsworth; Marvin (Nettie) Hollingsworth; two sisters Dorothy McKenzie; Melba (Donnie) Cook and her sister in law Joyce Hollingsworth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Grant and Bro. Dale Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Nokomis.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Jarod Long, Jacob Hollingsworth, Jon Amonette, Ralph Beasley and Roy Pettis.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 12:30 p.m. for family and from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. for friends at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Mike Harvey

Mike Harvey of Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully at home following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 75.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and James H. Harvey; and son, Travis Harvey.

Mike is survived by his wife, Judy Walker; daughter, Ashley (Kolby) Jordan; son, James Daniel Harvey; step children, Jerry (Lisa) Walker, Shelly (Doug) Rogers, and Teddy (Kynda) Walker; brother, Patrick (Gloria) Harvey; sister, Mary (Scott) McKay; and a host of grandchildren.

Mike served his country as a Marine and worked at NAS Pensacola Navy Public Works where he retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post 340 for 32 years.

Due to construction funeral services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, Florida 32505 at 2:30PM, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Reverend James Earl Guy will officiate services. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1PM prior to services.
