Geneva Elizabeth Sims “Jenie” Beckman

Geneva Elizabeth Sims “Jenie” Beckman, resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 84. She was born in Houston, Texas to the late Lois Virginia Gottie. Jenie worked for the Escambia County Schools in the cafeteria.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Beckman; and her parents.

Jenie is survived by her daughters, Therese (Dana) Drexler and Lois (David) Krause; sons, Guy (Randy) Beckman, Mike (Jan) Beckman and Chris Beckman; ten grandchildren; and eleven great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32505 with Rev. Gail McGill officiating. Burial will follow in Clopton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:30PM prior to services.

Dana Meri Whiting

November 17, 2021

Dana Meri Whiting, age 55, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away on November 9, 2021. She was born on June 24, 1966 in Jacksonville, FL to Walter Hogge and Anita Polson Zilcosky.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Arthur Whiting and her granddaughter, Braylee Ann Chevelle Lambert.

She is survived by her parents, Walter (Geanette) Hogge of Hampton, VA and Anita Zilcosky of Jacksonville, FL; her fiancé, Donald Rebello; her children, Nicholas Whiting of Pensacola, FL, Leslie Whiting (Ray Baxley) of Perdido, AL and Justin Whiting of Orlando, FL; her sister, Tina Peach of Palm Coast, FL and her grandchildren, Sheyanne Lambert, Allison Lambert and Keira Peacock.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Don Sanks officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut Hill, FL.

Active pallbearers will be Nicholas Whiting, Justin Whiting, Ray Baxley, Donald Rebello, Richard Padilla and Steven Ripstein.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Jimmy Vickery

November 17, 2021

Jimmy Vickery, born on July 8, 1957, passed away on November 15, 2021, at the age of 64. He lived in Cottage Hill all his life. He was a member of the Mopar Club and a Dodge mechanic for over 40 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Jenifer Stratton (Michael) and Michelle Kimmons (Mike); sons, Jeffery Vickery and Kevin Bell; sister, Janice Chason (Tony); grandchildren, Lindsey Kimmons, Samantha “Sam” Kimmons, Brycen Stratton and Brooklyn Stratton; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W. L. “Red” Vickery and Nancy Jo Vickery; his sister, Shelia Adams; and his brother, Randy Vickery.

A visitation will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Ronnie Lee Boatwright

Mr. Ronnie Lee Boatwright, age 61, passed away, Friday, November 12, 2021 in Flomaton, AL. He was born in Atmore, AL; and has resided most of his life in Barrineau Park, FL. He enjoyed watching tv, and raking yards.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Jones, grandparents, Irvin and Frances Mitchell, one uncle, Eugene Mitchell, one aunt, Phyllis Joyner and Leon Joyner, and two cousins.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Baldwin, of Flomaton, AL; a special friend, Janice Peterson, two brothers, Ricky (Traci) Boatwright, of Walnut Hill, FL; James Jones, of Flomaton, AL; two sisters, Patsy (Roger) Hart, of Barrineau Park, FL; Susie Miller, of Molino, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Pugh’s Chapel Assembly of God Church with Chaplain: Ricky Tedder officiating.

Burial will follow at Pugh’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM at Pugh’s Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Janice Loette Dagen Parker, age 79, passed away on November 7, 2021. She was born on August 3, 1942 in Dry Springs, FL to William “Bill” and Aggidean Barlow Dagen.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Parker; her siblings, Gladys Dagen, LaVerne D. Warren, Rita Bolton and Robert L. Dagen.

She is survived by her son, John Andy Cannon of Walnut Hill, FL; her daughter, Gwen Parker of Walnut Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Brittany Tutton (Lo Pollard), Kelsey (Neal) Phillips, Parker Tutton and Caren Cannon along with six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Pine Barren Cemetery in Davisville, FL. Interment will follow at Pine Barren Cemetery.

Gladys Marie Johnson

November 11, 2021

Gladys Marie Johnson, born on May 5, 1930, passed away quietly in her sleep on November 9, 2021 at the youthful age of 91. She worked as a cashier until her retirement. She was a devout member of the Pentecostal Church in Ensley, Florida. Gladys was the matriarch of the Troesch family. She enjoyed being with her family and always looked forward to her annual family reunion. Gladys was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Gladys touched the lives of so many people. She is loved by many and will missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Giraud, son David “Buddy” Shirey, brother William Eugene Troesch and sister Betty Lenning. Her grandchildren Jamie Cleckley, Julia Manning, Tori Lupu, Trevor Toms, Cindy Greenhill, David Bryant and Johnnie Bryant as well as 16 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Troesch and Grace Alexander Troesch, her sisters Viola Raughton and Theda Havens, her brother Harold Troesch, her daughter Dianne Bryant, and her granddaughter Regina Ferguson.

Services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North located at 1000 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, Florida on November 15th. Family viewing is 9:30 am with public view at 10 am followed by the service at 11am. Gladys will be laid to rest next to her husband at Morgan Cemetery after the service.

Angelica Christine Kruger

Mrs. Angelica Christine Kruger, was born in Dayton, Ohio to Michael and Jayne McBarron on March 3, 1979. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend.

She and God together changed many lives through witnessing, which led to salvation, time and time again. She loved her Savior more than anything in the world, and she longed to see Him most of all. She was very dedicated to her church, and she was involved in many ministries throughout the past years.

She enjoyed reading her bible, and cleaning houses. She loved helping anyone in need. She also loved rehabbing any animal that she crossed paths with.

She is survived by her mother, Jayne Runnels McBarron, husband, Joey Allen Kruger and her children, Seth, Ara, Grace, Sullivan, and Moses, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Bro. Doug Odom officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.

Gaines D. Wroten

November 8, 2021

Gaines D. Wroten passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at West Florida Hospital due to complications from COVID at age 91. His loving Daughter and son-in-law were with him at his bedside.

Services for Gaines will be held Thursday, November 11th at 5:00 p.m. in Pensacola at Faith Chapel (South) with Dr. Spencer officiating. Burial services will be conducted in the city of Decatur, Mississippi at Decatur Cemetery on Saturday, November 13th at 11:00 a.m. where he will be laid to rest beside his late wife.

The Decatur, Mississippi native was a proud Veteran of the US Navy serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1968 after 20 years of active duty. Gaines was also a retired ESCO Mechanic where he was the night foreman. He lived with his daughter, Debbie and her husband Son, in Cantonment, Florida for the last 14 years of his life.

Survivors include his son Michael Wroten, wife Gail; daughter Debbie Wroten, husband Son; step daughter Peggy Harrison, significant other Jim; nieces Mildred Pence and Mary Jo Robison; nephew Henry Wroten; Grandchildren Ray Adkins, Pat Carlton, Ruthie Adkins, Brenda Lamb, Richard Luce, Lisa Chandler and “Little” Gaines Wroten; twenty-one great children plus sixteen great great grandchildren and many dear friends.

Gaines is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Emma Lou Wroten, brother Willie Joe Wroten, sister Ruth Pippen, his wife of 55 years Lenora Wroten, his step daughter Nelda Luce and her husband Les Luce.

Joseph Daniel Terry, age 71, of Atmore, AL passed away in November 8, 2021 in Mobile, AL. He was born on December 30, 1949 in Century, FL to Joseph Walker and Jewel Wise Terry. He was the owner and operator of Terry’s Corner Store. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Moore Terry of Atmore, AL; his sons, Joseph Christopher Terry (Kaye Carpenter) of Atmore, AL, and Jonathan Ross Terry of Atmore, AL; and his grandchildren, Laura Grace Terry, Susan Elizabeth Terry, Joseph John Terry and Jorge Walker “J.W.” Terry.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Henry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Judson Cemetery in Poarch, AL.

Active pallbearers will be Bernard Etheridge, Chet Helton, Bobby Kimbrel, Rodney Owens, Glenn Helton and Foster Kyser.
