Fields of Faith: Student Led Community Worship Wednesday At Northview

Northview High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host their 4th annual Fields of Faith at Northview High School Wednesday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m. on the football field.

Admission is free; the public is encouraged to attend.

Celeste North Named NHS Homecoming Queen (With Photo Gallery)

Celeste North was named Northview High School’s homecoming queen for 2017 Friday night.

Bratt Elementary Kids Learn Sun Safety From UWF Nursing Students

Students at Bratt Elementary School recently learned about sun healthy behaviors.

Bratt was one of four schools in Escambia County selected to be part of the University of West Florida Usha Kundu, MD College of Health’s Ago Shield initiative.

Argo Shield’s goad is to provide proactive sun safety education on proper skin protection from the sun and increase awareness among K-8 children on how to Shield the Skin You’re In.

Fifty nursing school students and faculty from UWF taught sun safety and healthy behaviors to students in grades K-5. Each child took home an Argo Shield tote bag that included a sunscreen sample and an education magnet for home.

Smokey Bear, Forest Service Teach Fire Safety At Molino Library Story Time

Smokey Bear and the Florida Forest Service visited Story Time at the Molino Branch Library on Wednesday. They taught the children the importance of forest fire prevention. Cat Country 98.7 Named CMA Station Of The Year

Pensacola’s locally-owned country radio station, CatCountry 98.7, has been named 2017 Radio Station of the Year by the Country Music Association (CMA).

Keith Urban called morning show hosts Brent and Candy to announce the win Tuesday. This is the first time Cat Country 98.7 has won the coveted CMA Station of the Year award.

CatCountry 98.7 personalities Brent and Candy were also nominated by the CMA for the 2017 Radio Personalities of the Year for The Cat Pak Morning Show. Brent & Candy’s CatPak Morning Show is “Live & Local” 5-10 a.m. Monday-Friday on CatCountry 98.7 and on www.CatCountry987.com.

The CMA Awards will air on WEAR ABC 3 on November at 7 p.m. Brent and Candy will be broadcasting live from Nashville in the days leading up to the awards show.
