I don’t mean no disrespect to anyone other then the Man Smoking and the gentleman I ask for help, Other then those two, everyone one else was all smiles and polite, I drove over an hour to get to the pow wow and also went to Poarch Haunted Hay ride and Haunted House. I love everything that the Indians do for the community, Just wish yall would do something for people who don’t smoke, at least have NO Smoking Area, there are too many Kids and Elderly people out there who love to enjoy the festivity to have it ruined by Ignorant people.

To Renea: “No disrespect to managemnet”…it is that type of arrogance and disrespect that we have come to expect around here that prevents many “locals” from even supporting area activities…it is so sad that even someone of authority shows so much ignorance, when all that was needed was some type of empathy toward your situation…on the other hand, the man sitting next to you was not committing a crime…he was just exercising his right to be rude and insensitive.

Meaning no disrespect to any person of management at the PowWow, all the Indians were beautiful and did a wonderful job dancing. We got there early had great seats. Me my two daughters and two grandson were in complete Ahhhh. they loved seeing all the Indians and even taking picture. One Indian dress in feathers even picked one of my grandsons up and spook to him in native language and he thought that was one of the best things in the world….BUT as we were sitting in the stands watching an older gently sat beside us. we even moved over so he could sit. Then he lite up a cigarette. I said he nicely to please not smoke around the children because one of them has asthma. He looked at me and laughed then started blowing the smoke directly at us. I got up went in found someone to come ask him to move, the gentleman in Poarch Creek uniform opened his pocket took out a cigarette, lite it and said “Yea I’ll be there when i get though with mine” Next year when I go I will be sure to take a bottle of my grandmothers old perfume and spay it constantly around smokers
