Photos: Hundreds Attend Williams Station Day

October 23, 2011

Hundreds from across South Alabama and Northwest Florida enjoyed Williams Station Day Saturday in Atmore.

Williams Station Day takes its name from Atmore’s early history when in 1866 the community was a supply stop along the Mobile and Great Northern railroad.

Festival-goers were entertained by a wide variety of musical acts, and a wide variety of  arts and crafts were also available.

They line both sides of the street with arts and crafts. Then at the Chamber of Commerce they have live entertainment. It is always fun and they block off several streets!!! I missed this year also.

I figured this would be like going to mardi gras or the fair in Mobile, so I opted out. I can see from the photos, I was wrong, and missed a good time. I will be there next year Lord willing.
