One Injured In Bratt Wreck

September 3, 2011

One person was injured in a single vehicle rollover accident Saturday afternoon in Bratt.

Donna Miller, 49, apparently lost control of a Nissa Pathfinder about 3:15 p.m. and struck a ditch at Highway 4 and Dortch Road. The vehicle came to rest on its side, trapping Miller inside. Firefighters were able to free her in about 20 minutes. She was transported by ambulance to Atmore Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Good this lady was not hurt too bad. There was also a wreck with no injuries at Pine Barron Road and Lambert Bridge Road without injuries this A.M. Hope no one was hurt there, either.

    response for dad,
it is their procedure when responding to a wreck to dress in bunker gear for thier safety from glass, sharp edges, possible fire from the car and from dangers when using extrication equipment, if needed. we never know what we will find until we get to the scene so they arrive prepared. A wreck is not a medical call, it is a trauma and motor vehicle accident call. hope that answers your question. and thanks for the kudos! ems rarely gets a thank you. :-) )

I just want to thank the firefighters and EMT personnel.
Also just curious as to why the firefighters have to dress out in bunker gear when they know it’s a medical call. That has to be hot.
