I average about 45mph on 97. I see people blowing by me on hills and blind curves. This road has more driveways and traffic than it did thirty years ago. There is strong agricultural activity, i.e. harvesters, tractors ect. Slow down or take it to I-10. Why would anyone be in a hurry to get to Atmore?

Lady I thank David was being sarcastic…..that’s tha way I took it anyways

I can’t believe David said this. No one want to be in a collision but sometimes it cannot be helped. Come on, this is a terrible statement; we all try to be safe when driving but sometimes people take risks when they get in a hurry and this should not happen. A few minutes late isn’t worth someone losing their life or being injured.

Almost was a witness to a wreck tonight. A car passed my family and me tonight down a hill/around a curve. Plus, a car was coming in the other direction and did not see them until they came around the curve. Praise God, a wreck did not happen because it would have been bad. People…don’t pass on double lines, around curves, down hills, when another car is approaching and do not drive too fast…some of us are thankful that God wakes us up in the morning!

    AH. David H G,

I think this is the second time I have agreed with you. :)

with Molino Jim, and also it could be the speeds they do on 97. To many
people still going 80 mph and passing over the double lines, still angry
that some of us like to go the speed limit and we are just in their way.

TAKE HIS LIC. There was a recent study that showed older drivers were safer than young driver. There have been a number of crashes at 97 and Tung Oil—could part of the problem be the way the road is banked so you tend to drift over the center line?

There seem to be a lot of traffic crashes at or near Hwy 97 and Tungoil… Maybe the state should install a red light, NOT!

    REGARDING:
    ” take his license.”

actually a good idea, take away the license of reveryone involved in a collision. Pretty soon the roads will be far less crowded.

David for assuming guilt without information

Please Mr. State Trooper take his license.
