Thank you Ruby’s Fish Camp for sending your prayers. What I’m trying to figure out is how did this go from swerving to avoid a deer to being distracted by cellphones and things. I may not be the brightest but I dont ever recall seeing a motorcyclist on a cellphone while driving. Keep their family in your prayers!!!

@ Toe Tapper. Mr. Crumptons observations put no one in danger. He simply stated what he has repeatedly witnessed on that highway and in our area. I traveled that highway daily for years. I saw many drivers completely disregard speed limits, barrel around blind curves, and pass on solid lines. It’s surprising there aren’t even more accidents. Yes, some people are on cell phones, but that’s another issue, and is no excuse for any driver to put others in danger by just driving as they please.

    Hey Charles….

News flash!!! People driving while distracted and on their cell phones puts more lives in danger than your keen observations. Thanks for the roadway/traffic report though.

Every morning around 6:30 a screaming motorcycle comes by my front driveway on 97 at well over 100 mph. So loud it wakes people up. Was taking garbage out and heard it coming When I could see him coming it was a two count as he passed me. Normal traffic takes 5/6 seconds. Many times when I pull out not seeing any tragic a high speed vehicle will pass me before I go a 100 yards accelerating rapidly

I have been driving since 1954. Lived in many high traffic areas

I have seen more fatal accidents In twelve miles of my house on 97 than in my 56 previous driving years. The life flight copter has landed here 6 times in ten years
The guy who sold me my house, son was killed on 29. My favorite waitress daughter was killed on 29. Saw two deaths in middle of Cantonment. Two at the corner of my property on 29. Probably been passed on double yellow 20 time in 3 miles to 29. All times I was slightly over 55. Going down US29 from Molino to I-10 65mph is sitting still compared to most other traffic. Many time I catch up with the excessive speeder at a traffic light before getting to nine mile road
