NWE Midgets Playoff Bound After 20-6 Win Over Bellview

midgetfile2.jpgThe Northwest Escambia Midgets are playoff bound after a weekend win over Bellview, 20-6. It was the third straight win for the Eagles.

Dalton Daniel had three touchdown runs of 75, 60 and 8 yards. He finished the game with over 200 yards rushing. Brannon Freeman also had his best performance of the year rushing by racking up almost 150 yards.

NWE played their best game of the year,stopping Bellview four times within the 5-yard line to secure the victory. NWE’s defense held one of the league’s best running backs to under 100 yards.

Defensive starters for Northwest Escambia were Deonte Mitchell, Olan Barlow, Matthew Lee, Hunter Sherouse, Brodie Amos, Chasen Freeman, Ryder Gifford, Taylor Reyes, Dalton Daniel, Brannon Freeman and Daulton Tullis.

Start time and other details for next week’s playoff game have not yet been announced.

    All the boys have worked hard this year. It has been fun to watch the little players from last year go from not wanted to play to loving the game. I am glad to see all these boys out on the field instead of a street corner some where. Go Eagles, Go Dalton T. I know your dad must be so proud.
