Reader’s Tip Leads To Arrest Of Molino Robbery Suspect In Century
September 14, 2009
A tip from a NorthEscambia.com reader has led the arrest of one of the suspects from this morning’s robbery of the Tom Thumb in Molino.
Escambia County deputies were called to a reported suspicious person and a possible burglary on Alger Road in Century about 9:20 this morning. When they arrived, they found a Pontiac Firebird with no tag in the parking lot of the Gospel Light Temple on Alger Road in Century.
A black male in the vehicle apparently had a flat tire and had stolen several tires and tools from a nearby shed in order to try fix his flat.
The vehicle in Century matched the description given by the NorthEscambia.com reader in a post in our comments section on story about the robbery. When deputies searched the location provided by the reader on Sunshine Hill Road at Cedar Springs Road, they found the cash register from Monday morning’s robbery of the Tom Thumb, as well as parts of the vehicle where the suspects had apparently hit a stump.
The suspect in Century was been taken into custody. Money, cash register and vehicle parts were recovered at the Molino Sunshine Hill Road location.

WOW!!! awesome recovery! we ALL need to look out for each other.
Did I read this right? They found (MONEY), register, & car parts on Sunshine Hill Rd.? Must be some pretty potent stuff dude……….Darn good job to all.
Wow! great job northescambia.com!!!
Stand up, speak out and do your part. Apathy kills. Good job in this case. Very good.
Good job. Glad they arrested this clown. I’m sure the other clown involved is soon to follow.
Way to go Citizens! Lets take back back our communities from these weasels.
Way to go “Me” and hubby!! Way to go William and the ECSO.
That is awesome. I am with John…it seems that people see things all the time, but people fail to report it. We recently had an a theft issue and lots of neighbors saw things, but didn’t call anyone. Either people are afraid to get involved or feel like it might not make a difference. Maybe it won’t make a difference, but at least you know you tried to help.
Way to go!
This is awesome!!! Great job me and ne.com
If everyone would call the ECSO when they see suspicious vehicles or suspicious people in their neighborhoods (like “me” did), we would catch alot more of these thugs. Please don’t wait to hear about a crime, call when you see the car (or person).
Good job on this one.
William, as usual, you are doing a bang-up job!
Glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish more folks could be this alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Way to go,Me!!!!! Thanks for the tip!!!!
Thanks to William for posting the story so early this morning. My husband actually saw the vehicle and didn’t think anything about it until I saw the story on NorthEscambia.com and called him. I’m glad these guys were caught!!!
