Heath Auston Baker, age 55, sadly passed away on November 20, 2024, in Pensacola, FL; surrounded by his loving family. Originally from Davisville, FL; he had been living in Atmore, Alabama, for the last ten years. Heath was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where he found community and support throughout his life. His kind spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Baker cherished moments spent with his family and enjoyed participating in family gatherings. He had a passion for history and relished wandering the roads aimlessly, always ready to engage in conversation with anyone he met. To him, nobody was a stranger, and he particularly loved being near water. A dedicated Florida Gators fan, he also enjoyed watching shows like Yellowstone and programs on the Food Network. His professional journey included roles at the Stone Bag Plant in Cantonment, FL; the Container Paper Mill in Brewton, AL; Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, AL; Burroughs ATM Solutions, The Tavern in Atmore, AL; and The Lodge at Cliffs Landing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mack Auston baker, one daughter, Ashley Dawn Baker, grandparents, Audra “Aud” (Ruth) Baker, Ralph (Viola) Mulder.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Baker, of Atmore, AL; one son, Bradley Auston Baker, of Atmore, AL; one daughter, Haley Brooke Baker, of Tyler, TX; two brothers, Lloyd Baker, of Agricola, MS; Clayton Baker, of Atmore, AL; three sisters, Marie (Tal) Moss, of Milton, FL; Sally (Tommy) Carriere, of New Orleans; Kimberly (Bryan) McGhee, of Atmore, AL; one granddaughter, Caralee Baker, of Brewton, AL; lil buddy, Cason Prall, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. with Rev. Josh Long and Brother John Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Barren Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Baker, Tyler Hochstetler, Chris Singleton, David Jones, Neil Mulder, and Clay Baker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darron Carnley, Billy Wayne Harrison, John Helm, Edward Bardin, and Randy Baker.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC Atmore, Alabama is in charge of all arrangements.
