Floyd Robert Westmoreland

Floyd Robert Westmoreland, 83, of Cantonment, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2024. He was born in Jay, Florida on September 14, 1941 to Robert Daniel Westmoreland and Lena Mae Ivey Westmoreland. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucille Sanders, Helen Grubbs, Jeannette Harris, and Linda Boswell; and brother, Clarence Westmoreland.

He grew up in Jay, Florida and in 1963 married the love of his life, Linda Dell Allen. He and his family moved to Cantonment in 1971. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandchildren who lit up his life. He was a car enthusiast and mechanic who could fix anything. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for 54 years, living a life of service. He and his wife owned a catering business for 31 years sharing in many happy events for others.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Linda Allen Westmoreland; daughter, Judy (Steve) Adams; son, Alan (Wendi) Westmoreland; grandchildren, Jennifer Rolin, Lauren McQuigg, Hunter (Bailey) Adams, Kinsie (Andrew) Prevatte and Ryleigh (Jared) Gaszak; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Kallie, James, Andie, Micah and Gunnar; brother-in-law, Buddy (Maria) Allen and brother-in-law, Ken Boswell; and his nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends who will miss his love, laughter, and mischievous personality he brought to their lives.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am with funeral service immediately following. Should you desire, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Hillcrest Baptist Church Disaster Relief Fund.
