Sharon A. Moffitt, 72, of Aledo, Illinois passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Aledo. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 18, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Sharon was born on July 12, 1952 to Arnie Oree and Ivy Mayhair Lovett in Brewton, Alabama. She graduated from Jay High School in Jay, Florida. Sharon married Ron Moffitt on September 19, 1970 in Berrydale, Florida. In addition to being a loving mother and dedicated homemaker, she was employed at the Aledo Walmart for 23 years. Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aledo where she helped run the nursery for over 30 years. She enjoyed counted cross-stitching, singing, attending the kids’ sporting events, collecting a variety of knickknacks and decorations, and travelling especially to the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin.

Sharon is survived by her husband Ron; son Scott (Becky) Moffitt of Aledo; daughter Ronda Moffitt of Aledo; five grandkids: Mallory, Bryce, Tanner, Veronica, and Darron; a first great grandchild lovingly expected; brother Adon (Cathy) Lovett of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Lovett, sister Shirley Baker, and brother-in-law Brady Baker.
