Francine Is Now A Hurricane

Francine continues to move across the western Gulf of Mexico towards a landfall as a hurricane in Louisiana on Wednesday.

​The National Hurricane Center said Francine became a tropical storm Monday morning, making it the sixth named storm of the 2024.

    Hopefully this storm will start moving northward with some speed soon or the NHC will keep sliding that track eastward toward Mobile/Pensacola. While we might not get much wind from it, the closer it gets the more likely storm surge will affect the area along with heavy rain.
