I know of several people killed in that 3 mile stretch of Pine Forest road.
we need to wear bright clothing,
    Stay off your Cell phoners
Don’t drink and drive, Bicycles or Cars.
and Sidewalks and Lighting might help.

    Sad day for both families.

Prayers for the victim’s family and the young lady driving the car. I don’t see how anyone can blame the young driver with what is reported here. It was dark, 9:30 at night and he was walking his bike in the street. I live off of Klondike Rd, and the traffic is horrible. I would never walk even on Klondike in broad daylight. Our streets are not safe for pedestrians in neighborhoods, much less on highways. Pine Forest Road is a highway. We need SIDEWALKS or BIKE PATHS. Think of how many deaths would be prevented.

There is a problem with the headlights on some vehicles, usually blue in tone, absolutely blinding oncoming drivers .How can these headlights be legal? I’ve seen traffic slow to 20mph until the vehicle passes. Makes also makes it impossible to see anyone on the side of the road.

I drive this road all the time. I can’t believe all the people walking at night without a light and wearing dark clothing. Most of the time I don’t see them until I’m right on top of them. If they would have some common sense and carry a light or wear light/ reflective clothes this might not happen.

I ride near there daily. The amount of traffic on that road is insane with all these new apartments. Traffic gets backed up and people start driving crazy. Prayers for the family of this man.

So sad. Praying for peace, comfort and forgiveness for all affected by this tragedy. It would be beneficial, possibly a preventative if there were sidewalks for pedestrians to walk on. Street lights would be helpful. Pedestrians please wear light colored clothing or carry a yellow or orange reflection vest with you at all times to wear if you have to be out after dark so drivers can see you. Drivers please be extra cautious and vigilant while driving after dark. Of all the times I have come upon pedestrians after dark only once did someone have on a light color that I could see them. My biggest fear is hitting a pedestrian.

First of all, prayers for this victim and prayers for the young driver. Sad all the way around. Both lives will forever be affected by this tragic accident. I’ve witnessed several close calls in/around that intersection all the way to the Intestate intersection. It saying one way or another but I’ve noticed an increase in the Homeless population moving further North up around that Dollar Generalso I’m not sure if this is related to that area. Prayers for everyone involved.

I am so scared driving down some of these roads at night… Obviously one cannot always run your high-beams because of oncoming traffic.

So many animals, pedestrians, and cyclists are always in the right of way.

There are not street lights everwhere… The only other practical solutions are to SLOW DOWN and PAY ATTENTION.

    Prayers for all.
