Jerry Charles Lambeth

April 4, 2024

Jerry Charles Lambeth was a lifelong resident of the Tri-City area. He died, just as he lived—on his own terms—on Thursday, April 4, 2024. He was 75 years old.

Jerry was born on December 22, 1948, to Aubrey J. and Lorena S. Lambeth of Flomaton, who preceded him in death. He was a 1967 graduate of Flomaton High School. After serving in the United States Navy, Jerry had an expansive career in the oil & gas industry. His career spanned decades with Exxon-Mobil Corporation. His glory days were spent in the control room at the Big Escambia Creek (B.E.C) plant in Canoe, AL. After a promotion and subsequent relocation to Exxon-Mobil Corporate offices, New Orleans served as his home base until the early 2000’s.

In his later years, he settled back in the Tri-City area, and he resided in Century until his unexpected trip from this life to the next.

Remaining earth-side to tell stories about Jerry’s love for nonsensical movies, listening to “bug music” and riding the “piggy roads” in his old Datsun pickup, are his devoted wife of nearly 54 years, Theresa Burkett Lambeth of Century; daughter, Cassie Lambeth Cufr, of Picayune, MS; daughter, Liana Lambeth (Clinton Brown) of Century; grandchildren: Daniel Lambeth (Skye) of Flomaton; Jake Lambeth of Century; Mags Cufr, Emma Cufr, and Jackson Cufr, all of Picayune, MS; a special Nephew, who was like a son, Dillon Conway; along with numerous cousins, in-laws, and friends who were like family.

“Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.” – Earnest Hemingway.

If you wish to honor Jerry’s life, have a Hershey’s “Special Dark” candy bar, and do a random act of kindness for someone who is down on his luck.

A disposition will be held for immediate family only.

Final arrangements entrusted to Flomaton Funeral Home
