James Dale White, 71, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was
born July 11, 1952, in Brewton, Alabama to James Ray and Christine Gaston White. Dale worked
many years for Southern Bell as a technician/lineman. He also was the Maintenance Director for many
years at First Pentecostal Church. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was a
longtime member of the Pine Barren Hunting Club.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, his son, James McWaters, and his grandson, James Paul
Roemer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Karen White; his daughter, Charla Roemer; son, Bryan
McWaters; niece, Tia (Chris) Bush; his brothers, Michael (Cindy) White, Keith (Trish) White;
grandchildren, Mikayla (Brandon) Daughtry, Clint Hinrichs, Trey Roemer, Savannah, Riley, Carson
and Madilyn Daughtry; his nephew, Justin (Sara) White; niece, Suzanne (Chris) Jordan; and several
great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his favorite “Son” Eric (Cassandra) Clayton and their
children Dakotah, Hunter and Paisley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal
Church of Pensacola, Florida.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 12:00 noon. Pastor Brian Kinsey will be officiating.
