JoAnn Collette Peacock, passed away suddenly Monday, September 25th, 2023 at the age of 64. Collette was born September 9th, 1959 in Pensacola, Florida. She was in Tate High School’s graduating class of 78′ and spent many years on the cheerleading team. In her early years, Collette was known for her fresh seafood store on the coast. Collette has had many different types of professions, such as working on oil rigs as a jug hand, car detailer, cosmetologist, and a well-known realtor for Pensacola Reality and International Properties Exchange.
Collette had a passion for beauty and real estate. When she wasn’t cutting hair or selling homes or managing rental properties, she was on the water catching, cleaning and cooking fish. Collette loved to go camping. She loved to surf at Pensacola Beach down at the point and near the pier. She loved to water ski, jet ski and swim. Really, she loved anything thing to do with the white sandy beaches and family. Colette loved arts and crafts and weaving baskets and anything to do with crafts.
Collette was the biggest family person you would have ever met. Her family was everything to her and she would give the shirt off her back to anyone. She was known as “Aunt Collette” to many and always had a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. Collette always had her home open to everyone that may have needed a place to lay their head.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Fred Peacock and Jo Ann Arnette Epperson.
Collette had a large family. She is survived by ex-husband, Ronald Driscoll; her four kids, Chris (Trisha) Driscoll, Niccole Lassiter, Bobby Lassiter, and Brett (Melissa) Lassiter.
Collette had 8 grandchildren, Christopher S. Driscoll, Devon Driscoll, Cole Catinella, Grayson Lassiter, Tristian Lassiter, Brittany Lassiter, Lindsey Lassiter, Landon Lassiter; and her siblings, Marlene Peacock, Leslie (Teddy) Peacock, Misty (Ken) Irwin, Angie (Jr.) Price-Williams.
She loved every one of her children, grandchildren, sisters, brother, mother, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and father.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home (North) at 1000 South Hwy. 29 in Cantonment, Florida 32533 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include: Leslie (Teddy) Peacock, Ronald Driscoll, Ken Irwin, Timothy Burrell, Dwayne Arnette, William Law.
