Escambia County Commission Cancels COW Meeting Again

The Escambia County Commission has canceled Thursday’s planned Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting.
The COW is a workshop type meeting held for commission discussion, but no votes are taken.
The meeting has been canceled for each of the last several months.

With these meetings being cancelled often it seems these elected officials have no desire to discuss matters in a public setting. It just cements the fact things are being discussed behind closed doors and at regular meetings of the commission. I guess the regular meetings make it all legal. Makes you wonder if it’s just a show and their minds are already made up on the topic at hand. Sunshine Law anyone?
WHY???? Give us a reason. Don’t just cancel. Tell us why you have canceled the last several months. Are members sick? Is there some some county emergency? WHY?
Are they explaining why? These people have got to go.
Vote them out and start taking pay from them for not doing their jobs.
