Patricia Gail Mathis, or “Diva” as she was affectionately known as by her family and friends, passed away peacefully after she lived a life different than most yet so full of love. To meet her was to love her, her eyes expressed a thousand words and her smile could light up the room. Her laugh was infectious. She loved her family with her whole heart. When Gail had a visitor, she wanted them to look at pictures of her family. The last half of Gail’s life was at Pensacola Clusters, where the wonderful staff became her family. Gail consistently defied all odds, and she is now joined with her momma and daddy in heaven. Gail is survived and celebrated by her two brothers, John Mathis and his wife Sue; Clyde Mathis and his wife Courtney; her six nieces and nephews; and her twelve great nieces and nephews.
Her family will have a small graveside burial. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Gonzalez Baptist Church in Gonzalez, FL.
