Glenda Manning Mason, age 71, of Atmore, AL passed away on December 5, 2022 in Atmore, AL. She was born on August 19, 1951 in Pensacola, FL. She worked at Best Western in Atmore for fifteen years. She is preceded in death by her parents who raised her, Benjamin and Alice Manning; her mother, Emma Manning Huggins; her step-father, Grady Huggins; her husband, Marvin Mason, Jr., and her siblings: Buddy Manning, Jerry Manning, Bonnie Manning, Edna Ard, May Goodale and Evelyn Cowan.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Mason of Talladega, AL; her daughters: Janet (Dennis) Jarrell of Atmore, AL, Tracey (Rusty) Slate of Atmore, AL and Careesa Mason of Atmore, AL; her brother, Robert (Doris) Manning of Elberta, AL; four grandchildren: Nichole McGhee, Tyler Jarrell, Destiny Cook and Jordan Perez along with six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens in Atmore, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Bryan Mason, Tony Jones, Dennis Jarrell, Jake McGhee, Rusty Slate, Jordan Perez and Tyler Jarrell. Visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
