Cantonment Man Charged With Choking His Wife
September 4, 2022
A Cantonment man is accused of choking his wife during an argument.
Robin Taboris Richardson, 62, was charged with third degree felony domestic battery by strangulation
Richardson had been drinking earlier in the night and began to argue with his wife when they arrived home, according to an arrest report. When she began to walk out of the room, he kicked her to the floor, put his hands around her neck and choked her, the report continues.
The victim “could not breathe and had to pull his hands away from her neck to breathe,” a deputy wrote. She declined EMS.
Richardson was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $100 bond.

@Shirley Hales, it’s a $100 minimum, even for a $500 bond. There is no “$10″.. so, there’s that.
The reason why the bond is so low….Per Florida State Statues, the defendent was held on a NO BOND pending review by a judge being it was domestic violence. During his arrangement, the judge set the bond. Usually when such a low bond is assigned, the victim appears at the hearing and speaks in favor of the defendent’s release. I can not say if that happened in this case or not.
Cost him 10.00 to get out, why? So he can go home and kill her? What wrong with the law in this day and time?
100 bucks?? Not worth the paperwork or gas for the deputy to drive out to Cantonment! Get real, judges!!!
How can a third-degree felony have a $100.00 bond?
$100. On a domestic? That is a pay on the back
