James T. “Mac” McNeill

James T. “Mac” McNeill was born in Clear Springs, Alabama on January 12, 1942, to Vadin and Verla Mae (Hendrix) McNeill. He passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

“Papaw” as he was most lovingly called was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was proud to be an American and served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a longtime member of the Ensley Masonic Lodge # 278 and Scottish Rite. He retired from Beloit Corporation. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy: daughter, Shelley McNeill-Trees (Sean) and son, James “Kevin” McNeill (Lori); Grandchildren, Ginny Corley (Patrick); Gracie McNeill and Emmy McNeill; Great-Grandchildren, Layton Corley and Maverick Cohenour; and very special “sister”, Connie Cogburn.

Pallbearers will be Mike Hollis, Paul Dykes, James Peacock, Ronnie Goodwin, Joe Curry and Robert Bodiford.

Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 6-8 p.m. at Faith Chapel North. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel North.

Burial service will be Monday, July 18, at 10 a.m.. at Eastern Gate Memorial.
