Brenda Lonieze Noyes Wright Lunsford

Brenda Lonieze Noyes Wright Lunsford, age 79, of Cantonment, passed away unexpectedly on July 23rd, 2022.

Brenda was born in Birmingham, AL on 10/2/42 where she grew up as the middle daughter of Fred H. Noyes and Vera R. Noyes. She attended Banks High School before she married and moved to Cantonment, FL in 1961.
Brenda raised a son Scott and daughter Sherrie and then two more daughters, Vicki and Deitri, with her husband of fifty-two years James (Jimmy) R. Wright. She enjoyed being a homemaker and full-time Mom for 24 years before deciding to join the workforce in 1985. Brenda proudly worked at Azalea Trace Retirement Home for 20 years as a Home Health Aide.

Brenda was a member of Gonzalez Baptist Church for over 60 years where she loved to sing in the church choir. Brenda also sang and played the piano frequently at home for her family with Jimmy accompanying her on harmonica.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Vera Noyes, first husband James “Jimmy” Wright, and her son, Scott Allen Wright.

After the passing of her husband Jimmy, Brenda reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Donald (Don) Lunsford and they married in 2020.

Brenda’s passions included reading, long drives through the country, music, history/genealogy, laughter, and most of all her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. Brenda was loved by everyone who was lucky to meet her.

She is survived by her husband Don Lunsford, and her three daughters, Sherrie Cahoon (Jodie) of Tallahassee, Vicki Wright of Pace, and Deitri Dorion of Cantonment; six grandchildren, Desta Gourley (Travis) and Scott Cahoon of Tallahassee, Kayla, Mallory, Lily, and Lucas Dorion of Cantonment; a sister, Jackie Wright of Winfield, AL and brother Charlie (Sarah) of Birmingham, AL; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 26th from 5:00-7:00 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Services are on Wednesday, July 27th at 10:00 at Gonzalez Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Mashburn officiating.
