Ian Fraser King

Ian Fraser King, 83, of Molino, FL passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; parents, Edward and Joan King; sister, Alison Diana Jones; and daughter, Angela Bonifay.Surviving are his children, Deborah Rossi (Robert), David King (Jackie), and Ted King (Jenny); grandchildren, Stephen Rossi, Jordan Jack, Jennifer Sanderson, Ian Nowling, and Olivia and Amelia King; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Montesi; and a loving, extended family.

Ian (John) was born in Sutton Coldfield, England.He immigrated to the United States with his family living in River Edge, NJ and Bethel, CT.After high school, he became a US citizen and served in the US Navy for four years.While in the Navy he met and married his wife, Lillian.After the Navy, he raised his family in Pace while working for Air Products.He retired after 39 years and moved to Molino.His retirement years were spent working on and enjoying his property and scuba diving with his sons.He donated over 18 gallons of blood during his lifetime.He supported his church by serving as a trustee, maintaining the church, and singing in the choir (terribly!).He helped his wife establish the Molino Mid-County Historical Society and with the transformation of the vacant Molino School into the Molino Community Complex.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Rossi, Robert Rossi, Brian Montesi, Robert Mobley, Alan Smith, and Ted Hassebrock.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, 9:30-11:00am at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.Funeral services will be at the church immediately after visitation. Interment will follow in Aldersgate United Methodist Church Cemetery.
