Gaylen Hood Lambert

Mrs. Gaylen Hood Lambert, age 77, passed away, Friday, May 20, 2022, in Mobile, AL. She was born in Atmore; and resided most of her life in Goodway, AL. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills with many years of employment. She was a member of Goodway Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lambert valued her time she got to spend with her family, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gaming in both, Biloxi and Wind Creek Casino’s with her sisters. She enjoyed dancing and working in the flower gardens. She loved her dogs and cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis (Alma Lilly) Hood, one son, James Kevin Lambert, one sister, Sue Hood Chunn, sister-in law, Robert and Sue Edge, brother-in law, Buddy Baker, mother and father- in law, Lindsey and Clemis Lambert.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Rodger Lambert, of Goodway, AL; two sons, Lowell Lambert, of Monroeville, AL; Joel (Shelia) Lambert, of Daphne, AL; one sister, Martha Jean Baker, of Atmore, AL; three grandchildren, Michael James Lambert, Lindsey Lambert, Lucas Lambert, one brother- in law, TL Chunn, of Uriah, AL; other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Randy Davis and Rev. Kerry Burroughs officiating.

Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
