Eloise Peacock

Mrs. Eloise Peacock, age 84, passed away, Monday, May 20, 2022, at her home in Atmore, AL. She was born, September 8, 1937 in Flomaton, AL; and resided most of her life in Atmore, AL. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills with many years of employment. She was a member of Martinville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Peacock valued her time she got to spend with her husband, children and family. She loved going to church and listening to gospel music, and going fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee (Annie Lee Stokes) Nelson, one son, Richard Leon McGhee, Jr; one daughter, Pat Wiggins, two sisters, Dorothy Martin, Helen Ann Nelson, and one brother, Howard Nelson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Harold Peacock, of Atmore, AL; four daughters, Rhonda Kay (Melton) Kendrick, of Atmore, AL: Shelley Peacock, of Columbus, MS; Linda Sue Wiggins, of Century, FL; Brenda Peacock, of Perdido, AL; two sons, Raymond (Laure) Simmons, of Atmore, AL; Bo Simmons, of Milton, FL; one sister, Joy Nelson (Peter) Smith, of Perdido, AL; one niece, Eia Leasha Martin, seven grandchildren, Melissa Kay Kendrick, of Atmore, AL; Stephanie Kendrick, of Atmore, AL; Angela McGhee, of Atmore, AL; Latisha Ann Smith, of Perdido, AL; Tiffaney McGhee Jones, of Pensacola, FL; Anna Evanoff, of Pensacola, FL; Christina McCire, of Jacksonville, FL; numerous great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Rickey Peebles and Rev. Don Sanks officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.
