Daniel Marcus Golden

Mr. Daniel Marcus Golden, age 78 of Jay, FL, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 in a Pensacola, Florida hospital.

Mr. Golden was born in Brewton, AL and was a life-long resident of Jay, FL except for the year he spent in Memphis, TN at cotton classing school. He was Valedictorian of the Jay High School Class of 1961. He was a farmer and worked at Golden Gin & Warehouse for 60 years, eventually becoming it’s President. Mr. Golden was preceded in death by his parents, John Ed Golden and Ruth McNaughton Golden; a son, Daniel Edward Golden; sisters, Jean Wolfe, Doris Marshall, Elizabeth Scott; and a brother, Ed Mac Golden. He was a member of Golden Memorial Holiness Church.

He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Shirley Agnew of Jay, FL; daughter, Concettia Nall of Atmore; granddaughters, Dr. Andrea Nall (Ryan Alston) of Tampa, FL, Ciara Golden of Jay, FL, Caristyn Golden of Jay, FL; grandson, John Daniel Golden of Jay, FL; mother of his children, Cathy Golden of Jay, FL; nieces, Faye Diamond of Jay, FL, Pam Strangeland of Milton, FL, Lisa Lambert of Pace, FL; and nephews, Philip Marshall of Jay, FL, and Stephen Wolfe of Jay, FL.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Golden Memorial Cemetery with Jarrod Heath Wilson and Dr. Andrea Nall speaking.

Pallbearers: Philip Marshall, Stephen Wolfe, John Daniel Golden, Jonathan Marshall, Joshua Marshall, and Keith Rowell.
