Matthew Castillow

Mr. Matthew Castillow, 70, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was a native of Castleberry and a longtime resident of Flomaton. After graduating from Conecuh County High School, he served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. Matthew was a deacon and faithful servant of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church for many years. After retiring from a career in the truck driving industry, he enjoyed using his cherished tractor to plant and grow fruits and vegetables to share with his family and community. Matthew found great joy in nurturing and providing for his family, and he will be remembered for being a friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Lillie Castillow; five brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Green Castillow; sons, Matthew, Jr. (Jennifer) and Marcus (Jimma); grandchildren, Shane, Ashland, Dawson, and Jackson; sisters, Dolly Pettis, Sue Rouse, Martha Cain, Ruth (Allen) Pettis, and Ruby Ruch.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at Craver’s Funeral Home in Brewton.

Funeral services for Matthew Castillow will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Bro. Rusty Burnham and Bro. Eric Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Flomaton with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Pallbearers: Marcus Castillow, Austin Arrington, Will Chavers, Jarrod Green, Tyler Green and Rusty Johnson.
