Mrs. Florence M. Cofield, age 88 of Century, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at D.W. McMillan Hospital. She was born in Perdido, Alabama and spent most of her life in Century, Florida. She was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and was known to everyone as “Memaw” or “Aunt Florence”.
She is survived by one son, Jeremy Young; two grandchildren, Will (Stephanie) Morris, Christy (Nick) Bloodsworth; six great-grandchildren, Nick (Emily) Bloodsworth, MaKayla (David) Bloodsworth, Jaelyn Bloodsworth, Jackson Bloodsworth, Bryant Lane, Jr. and Wyatt Morris; one niece Ellen Hawsey; and one nephew, Buddy Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cofield; mother, Mamie Mosley; father, H.J. Mosley; sister, Bernice Daughtry; brother, James Mosley; daughter, Becky Morris; son, Ray Cofield; and nephew, Dale Scott.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. from the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hutto and Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Interment will follow in McCurdy Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Flomaton Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Bud Campbell, Luke Brown, Charlie Brown, Dak Sims, Nathan Therrell, and Dennis Mathis.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs Florence Cofield. I have known her for over 40 years and she was always the same sweet, gentle spirited, friendly, lovely lady from the beginning to the end. I am blessed to have known Mrs Florence and I hope that I can take some of that ray of sunshine with me and brighten someone else’s day along my way, as she did. I pray for Mrs. Florence’s family because I know she will be missed.i pray God comforts them & helps them know that she is in a much better place! Rest In Peace Mrs Florence and Thank you for your beautiful smiles.
