Grady Wayne Lee Schoonover

January 27, 2022

A true Beacon of unconditional friendship in life is forever lost today as 47 year old Grady Wayne Lee Schoonover died unexpectedly in his home Sunday January 9, 2022.

Grady was born in Germany on October 3, 1974 to Richard Schoonover and Gabriele (Turk) Schoonover. After first moving to Arkansas, around the age of 12 his family moved to Pensacola. Grady was devoted to his family as well as his life long friends he openly acknowledged as family. He was a beloved employee of Walmart where you would find him in the Garden Center doing pretty much everything-in between responding to the countless “Grady in Garden” pages. In his free time he could be found enjoying hanging out with friends, playing his favorite game but mostly likely you would of found him helping a friend in need. Grady had a special way of making everyone he came in contact with feel special to him. The special greetings he had with each individual were as uniquely special as him.

For whomever’s lives were touched by Grady have and will always say that his gentle kindness concern caring and fun loving mentality will forever be missed in our hearts.

Grady is preceded in death by his father Richard Schoonover, mother Gabriele (Turk) Schoonover and sister Ericka Fluger. He is survived by his brother Richard Schoonover II, his sister Samantha Renee Schoonover, half sister Judith Fluger in Germany and niece Liliegh Schoonover. In addition to numerous adopted brothers and sisters including his Walmart family he loved them all.

We will all miss you and the warmth you brought to each of our worlds; forever your friends.

Funeral Services were held on January 25, 2022, at Joe Morris Funeral Home.

Immediately following the service Grady was laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetary.
