Margaret Evelyn Newto

Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Newton, age 95, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at her Flomaton, AL.

Mrs. Newton was a life-long resident of Flomaton where she served as a substitute teacher for the Flomaton schools.  She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, fishing, sewing and cooking.  She was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.  Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her husband, William Estes Newton; and two brothers, Bib Jordan and Nub Jordan.

She is survived by a brother, Jr. Jordan of Flomaton; three sisters, Linda Black of Flomaton, Ann Parrish of Brewton, and Kathleen Whatley of Molino, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Patterson officiating.  Interment will follow in Little Escambia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Flomaton Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers:  Ray Lee, Zack Brewton, Pep Parrish, Paul Jordan, Billy Capers, Sr., and Billy Capers, Jr.

    I was a caregiver for Mrs Newton 8 years..it was a great experience love to hear her stories she would tell.
    Mrs Newton was a sweet and kind soul.
    She had a family that loved her..her nephew Matt Jordan was great he always made sure she knew she was loved..always paying her bills buying her groceries she is gone but never will be forgotten loved and missed ..
