Samuel (Sammy) Wayne Garrett, 50, of Walnut Hill, FL, passed away on September 6, 2021.
Mr. Garrett was born in Atmore, AL, and resided in Bay Springs, FL. His occupation was a millwright. He took pride in his work. Sammy was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. You could find him on the river or in the woods. His smile was contagious and he enjoyed picking at those he loved to make smile.
He left behind his beloved daughter, Taylor Garrett, grandson Aden Wayne Garrett, his best friend Kelly Garrett, mother Margaret Garrett, father “Sambo” Garrett, brother Shane (Jann) Garrett, and sister Tina (Keith) Garrison, nieces, nephews, and many other family members whom he loved dearly.
Sammy’s friends were just as important as family to him. Families including Lewis, Caro, McCullough, Price, Perry, Martin, Gindl, Hall and too many to mention. You know who you are and the Garrett family will continue to value your friendship.
Funeral services will be held at Eastern Gate on 09/11/2021 at 1985 W 9 Mile Rd in Pensacola. Friends are invited to the visitation times of 1pm with service following at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Go Fund Me to assist with the funeral costs.
The family thanks everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers as they grieve during this hard time.
A visitation for Samuel will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

I’m so sorry Maragret to hear about your loss, I pray the Lord will give your family strength, He’s always near just call on Him. Doug sends his deapest sympathy,he’s at my house right now.
